My wife and I stayed here in early April for my "staycation" birthday. We have often traveled downtown to the Market Square area eating at practically every eatery there. We said we were going to stay at The Oliver one day, and so we did! We stayed in a King Room overlooking Market Square for one night.
What a wonderful boutique hotel. It's well appointed with a small number of rooms in total and only three floors. The staff was extremely polite and professional. Check in was quick and smooth. The Peter Kern Library is the bar located on the bottom floor. Its a great (and VERY popular) bar with great tasting cocktails and other beverages. Don't miss out if you happen to stay there. A plus of staying at The Oliver is the ability to order room service from Tupelo Honey Cafe located just below the hotel. We didn't use this amenity, but did contemplate it the next morning.
It is a bit expensive, but you do get what you pay for here.
