We choose this venue because the location suited several family members to meet for lunch. Whilst I appreciate there is currently renovation works being carried out, the cafe was chilly, the food ranged from poor to average but the staff were far from helpful and I was not the only person to notice this; The elderly lady behind me was not the quickest on her feet and was offered no assistance by the staff member serving her - I offered to help her myself rather than witness her embarrassment. The (well behaved) teenager in our group did not touch the chicken dinner served and only told me when leaving that the chicken tasted terrible and they did not want to cause a scene. A staff member took away the food laden plate and did not enquire why it wasn't eaten.
It has been several years since I visited the 'garden centre' section & I do appreciate there is building work going on but there was nothing to see or buy here. I drive by here at least once a month but will not be stopping by again.

Pleasantly surprised by the variety of shops. Nice selection of good quality. Plants were attractive. Wish we had time to try the restaurant.

Hard to know what to expect from trip advisor. Really worth a trip to Rachel's Cafe. One of the best refurbishments seen for a while. Very stylish. Really enjoyed the lunch, leek and potato soup, really good beef stew. Everything looked very inviting.
Pity no take away. They should really think about having a food shop and be able to buy more than just the bread and scones.

As a keen gardner i just love this place, i only discovered the garden out the back of the shop on my second visit, they have so much too choose from i be very surprised if you came away empty handed.
