These stables are amazing! The owner (John) was very flexible to our needs and accommodated 2 time changes on our part due to the rainy weather. It's clear that John truly cares about his horses and his business and took great care of us from the time we arrived until we were ready to leave. After getting outfitted in boots and helmets, he got us onto our horses and gave a great bit of instruction - although our family has gone on many trail rides in the past, this is the best experience we've ever had and the information he shared was invaluable. When it was time to head back, our kids wanted to stay out longer and John readily agreed to extend our ride for as long as we wanted. We have never been on a ride where we learned so much and felt so well taken care of. I would recommend John and the folks at Ballyhannon to anyone looking to make great, outdoor memories in Ireland.

There are so many wonderful things to say, I don't know where to begin. After checking out the website, I emailed John and he promptly replied, answering all of my questions. While still in NYC, John called, per my request to further discuss the plan on visiting this riding stable. Once I finally arrive in Ennis, he arranged for Pat to pick me up and drop me off which was so generous of both of them. The ride wasn't very long so def take a taxi if you're not driving. John and Pat were helpful and patient to this absolute beginner. Safety gear was provided and I was taught the basics. My horse, Pinky, was chill and pretty. Then off to the trek with Pat through quiet breathtaking countryside roads as promised in their website. Pat was affable and had an infectious sense of humor. I cannot thank both of them enough for this unforgettable and much needed experience! I hope to see John, Pat, and Pinky in the near future. All the best to them!

Loved the pony trekking at Ballyhannon House. From the minute we got there it was fun. John put us through our paces with the horses before we went out. My partner has never been horseriding but was instantly put at ease. (He is now hooked) Boots and helmets were provided as well as some goodies. The horses are so placid and the stables are set in an old country estate which adds to the charm. A brilliant way to spend an hour. Will be going back again soon and will be bringing the kids next time.
