Firstly the food is just delicious, homemade, as your granny would serve up to you! stayed in hotel on and off for 3 months, never had one bad meal, great friendly atmospher in bars with locals, bedrooms are very basic but then absolutelt clean, spotless, and for under €50 per night, great value for money with real hearty full breakfast included

Room Tip: great location in middle of west cork, very handy for day trips and a one week cost would really sui...

I stayed in this hotel recently and I have to complient the staff on their positive attitute to customers. If you want a 4* hotel then the Parkway is not for you.I found the bed firm and the Bathroom had a hot shower which functioned well, the shower could be improved with the addition of a glass panel instead of a curtain. The food in the bar was good and meals are served hot.For the price the Hotel offers good value for the commercial rate at 40€ B&B for customers.

To sum up the breakfast was excellent with Porridge or cereals and the necessary full Irish, the value for money was excellent and with some small changes as outlined above (and nicer beds) this could be a favourite stopping point for me.

The hotel is indeed dated but clean and the prices are reasonable, once you walk in the door you know what you are going to expect, bar area nice, food is decent, certainly hotel is nothing special but due to the prices I don't think visitors would
Expect a huge amount more

Dunmanway really has to be a one horse town with a hotel like this one. We stopped at the Parkway Hotel and booked a room after a very long drive. The carpet was stained with what appeared to be dried in vomit and the pillow cases looked dirty. The kettle was broken and the remote not working for the t.v. That was the room... We ventured into the bar lounge area of the hotel for a drink. There were locals in the bar watching premiership football and cheering on Manchester... later that evening the same blokes were singing IRA songs and cursing the English! Couldn't understand the logic there since they appeared to be supporting English soccor teams! We retired to our rooms early as we didn't like the atmosphere in the bar due to the anti english sentiment and we being from the UK.

Don't expect chain standards but this hotel is clean comfortable and different. Dunmanway is an Irish country town and this hotel would originally have served the railway and commercial travellers. Don' t expect views but you will be in the middle of beautiful country and this will make an excellent base.
I was a single and for 45 euro per night B&b it would be hard to find better

If you don't mind windows that can't be closed, coffee and tea making facilities with no kettle and a tv without a controller then you will be happy enough here...as the evening food is really tasty and price is alright...however, I stayed the next night in Dungarvan for the same amount, and it was in every way, superior.

We were a group meeting up from England & various parts of Ireland for a reunion.
WE stayed from 1 - 3 march 2013. Rooms are basic but the hospitality & friendiliness of the staff during our stay was FIRST CLASS. We do were allowed to stay in our rooms until late in the afternoon as our flights were late.
The food was exceptionally & service for our food was very good.
We had a great time in the function room with the live band which that weekend was Nathan Carter.
Well done - we would find it extremely hard to find a hotel that could offer us the same so we have rebooked for later this year to meet up again.
