stayed here in May with group of friends, we got a deal with treat ticket had a very enjoyable weekend. staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms were big and spacious. Hotel has great character and lovely walled garden to sit in the sun. We used the wild orchid spa attached to hotel and it was amazing. we made use of facilities warm pool, hot tub jaccuzzi and steam and sauna. beds very comfortable great nights sleep, my only fault with cooked breakfast would have liked soda and potato bread, i would definately recommend to stay.

I stayed in Jacksons for one night last week and it was a really enjoyable stay. I was lucky enough to stay in a suite over looking the river and it was absolutely beautiful. It was a very large room with a massage chair, huge bathroom and amazing jacuzzi bath and a separate dressing area in the room. The views over the river were lovely and the room was lovely and quiet.

All of the staff from reception to the bar and bistro were very welcoming and friendly. I ate lunch and dinner in the bistro and it was really tasty and good portion sizes.

The breakfast was fine, a choice of cerals, fruits, pastries and a hot counter.

All in all it was a lovely stay and I would highly recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: If you can stay in a suite they are worth it!

My family and I stayed in the hotel for a wedding and could not fault the hotel. The staff were more than friendly and helpful. The rooms were lovely and big! There was a homely atmosphere especially in the reception. Would highly recommend the hotel for weddings. We enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed an extra night! Thank you to the management and staff for a lovely stay!!

we arrived early than the usual check in time at the hotel, the staff are friendly and very accomodating, they straight away attended to us and made sure the room is ready , we were also informed of the bistro restaurant that serves all day meal, so we went to our room ,i love the ambience it has the "country feel" in it its so relaxing we have a very nice view of the river, and the bed, wow! so comfortable i could stay in that bed the whole day, we have a wooden floor and a descent bath with shower , with an added bonus of iron press in the room. the food they serve was tasty , and the location is just a walk away around town very handy for a peaceful afternoon

Arrived around 5.30 checked in and were informed our room was in new end. Pleasant surprise as I had stayed many times in old end. Got to room to find the room hadnt been touched from previous guests moved out. Reported to reception who said they would send someone up to clean it. Cleaner arrived who was very pleasant confirmed state of room to reception who gave us a new room. Staff were not friendly or helpful. Several other guest's rooms on our floor were also not cleaned. Money taken on arrival. On departure we informed reception staff that we were not happy and wouldnt be back. They were not interested didnt even answer us. Very disappointed had booked for friends birthday and requested new end as she had stayed numerous times in old end. Will not be back as certainly is not worth the money.
