“Stay away .... You've been warned !!!”

We arrived at this hotel and were immediately worried at the run down appearance of the exterior. The hotel name was missing letters and the area in front of the hotel was covered in litter.
We entered through a horrible glass structure which was dirty and decayed looking.
Fiona on reception was very pleasant and friendly and check in was quick and efficient however as we made our way upstairs (no lift) our hearts sank at the state of the place. I've uploaded photos to demonstrate the awful condition of this place as it would be hard to adequately describe the dirt and decay everywhere you looked.
Bathroom window was cracked with a hole in it ... the shower head was dirt with rust coloured staining ... the grouting was missing from around the bath tub ... there were damp patches on the walls and large cobwebs on the ceiling ... the pictures also show the rot and decay around the bedroom windows ... we had to leave the windows open as the room smelled musty ... the towels supplied were slightly larger than hand towels, certainly not bath towels ... the fried breakfast was only warm and everything was rubbery, as if cooked the night before. When my partner asked for beans, the waitress wasn't sure if they had any but she eventually returned with a clump of beans on a plate ...
As the only other hotel in the village was closed down, we had no choice but to spend the night but we literally ran from the place the next morning.
This place doesn't deserve to be called a hostel, much less a hotel.
It should be closed immediately ... HEED MY WARNING ... this place is a flea pit ... keep well away

I have stayed in this hotel a number of times and always had a lovely time. The location is great looking out on the sea and the islands and not too far for a lovely walk on the beach. The staff, rooms, food and atmosphere is great. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family and friend for nice stay in this Gaeltacht area. I feel this hotels caters for all ages by having bar food, bistro , bar and nightclub. I feel it great for that couples escape, family break or that weekend with friends. I cannot wait for my next stay at this hotel :) .

Stayed here with my husband. The first room we were given was down a long corridor which appeared to be taking us to a very shabby part of the hotel. We were right, as the room smelt damp and musty with very outdated decor. It turned out the bed linen had not been changed as there was makeup and hair on the pillow cases. We informed management who immediately moved us to another room just at the top of the stairs, at the front of the hotel. Slightly better decor , it obviously had been done up more recently although still very basic. There were broken tiles and toilet seat in the bathroom. Also there was a terrible draught coming in the windows in both the bathroom and bed room, making it very cold. We had to ask for new bed linen for this room as the ones on the bed smelt damp although the receptionist insisted they were freshly laundered and that the smell was off the washing powder. I then had to make up the bed my self. The heating never came on either and the room was freezing (draughty windows not helping). The Receptionist insisted it came on in the morning but this definitely never happened. We were given an electric heater which had only one bar working which didnt help much.
The breakfast was basic, with a poor selection and served in a very drab, cold room.
He only redeeming point about this hotel was its restaurant which appeared to be newly decorated. The food was very good with generous portions. I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone. I would however, eat in the restaurant if I was in the area again.

Hotel is in a great location and Bunbeag is a beautiful place. Great if you get one of the rooms at the front theres a gorgeous view of the beach. Rooms are in need of decorating as its very outdated and bit grotty looking. Also there is a night club out the back so rooms at the back can be very noisy on a Saturday night! Breakfast wasnt great either. But hotel is very central and close to the shop and bars etc

I was admittedly dubious having read some of the negative reviews here, and I’m happy to say we encountered none of the same issues. We wanted a relaxing night away, and excellent value for money, and that’s exactly what we got! The Seaview may not be urban chic and ultra modern, but it doesn’t need to be, nor should it be..... this area of Donegal is so beautiful and rustic and Irish, and the hotel represents it well and aptly. The room was spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean, and amenities were more than adequate. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious! We will definitely return, and thank the Seaview for the charming and peaceful Donegal weekend we needed!

Stayed here for two nights on a post-Christmas break. I'm a regular visitor to the area, but generally stay in B&Bs, which tend to be closed off season. Room on arrival was lukewarm, and never seemed to get properly warm, flusher on toilet came apart when pressed, etc, but by far the worst thing is the NOISE!!!! Not only is there loud music in the bar until the early hours, but aight club on site as well. In truth, the hotel seems more aimed at locals than visitors. Although the staff were excellent, and did their best, the management need to decide whether to be a hotel, or bar and nightclub for locals, because trying to do both doesn't seem to be working, sadly. I certainly will look elsewhere before staying here again,
