“Our wedding”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2014 via mobile

We held our wedding at this hotel in January 2014 and cannot thank the staff enough for everything they did for us from start to finish, Jean was our wedding co-ordinator in the hotel, absolutely professional, Lenka and Lydia looked after us on the day and once again-outstanding!!! The staff are excellent! The hotel itself is set in the middle of balbriggan town with great free parking underneath the hotel, we had two function rooms for our wedding and the whole top floor of the hotel was reserved for us, the bar is a great meeting and greeting area with a lovely restaurant set at the back, the bedrooms are fabulous, if you are thinking of having your wedding here I would highly recommend it. Thanks to all the staff who made our day the super day that it was.
Kiera & Chris.

Stayed here for 2 night's with the hubby had a great time .Hotel is really nice and comfy and clean. The food was to die for and the bar was good. There was a fella playing a guitar in the bar and i have to say he was amazing really enjoyed listening to him sing. The staff were lovely and friendly. The only thing was the heat in the room we had to turn off the rads it was so warm and we had to leave the window open all night so the noise from the road was annoying but it i would stay again loved it :)

I have just spent four nights at this hotel. Checking in was problematic as there was a duplicate booking. The female receptionist was very rude and objectionable, shouting over us that it was our fault and that she had 'emailed confirmation'. I'm still awaiting this email...
However, the rest of our stay was really good. The staff were extremely helpful, and couldn't do enough for us..particularly Ramona in the dining room. The food is plentiful and tasty. The rooms are clean and beds very comfortable. I stayed at the front of the hotel on the second floor. Traffic noise was a problem, and my request to change rooms was dealt with very graciously, despite a wedding the night before and a wedding coming in that day.Overall experience very good. Parking available in the underground car park, and is free for guests.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter.

We booked through LivingSocial Voucher for a 50th birthday treat. Didn't know what to expect and was a bit apprehensive since none of us all 6 ladies been to Ireland before. We didn't want to disappoint the birthday celebrant either. Well, we were pleasantly surprised how amazing, lovely, friendly and welcoming this hotel was. Very clean and spacious bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Food was great and the staff were very helpful and were always smiling, which made our stay more enjoyable.
Thank you to all the staff at The Bracken Court Hotel. We all had such a lovely time during our stay. Will highly recommend to anyone.
Keep up the good work and more power to you!

Room Tip: Room 310 is massive.

Booked through LivingSocial and was unsure what to expect, but we were extremely pleasantly surprised! The hotel is around a 2min walk from a very nice beach and it has a friendly, welcoming vibe.
The room was perfect and very spacious.
The high point by far though was the staff, they were very attentive, friendly, helpful and created a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere! They should all be commended! Our waitress at dinner went out of her way to provide a wine to my tasting and I really appreciated that.
The breakfast was lovely too.
The only downside was the heating which isn't individually controlled and my boyfriend found it very warm at night.
Overall lovely stay, will definitely be back!

We stayed here on a LivingSocial voucher in February. Check-in was hassle-free; the receptionist was friendly and efficient. Our room was ready on arrival, and we went straight up. The room was right opposite the door to our corridor, which normally I dread (light sleeper). However, this didn't bother me over our two night stay.
The room itself was nicely decorated and the bed was comfy. We had a WiFi connection, and the TV worked perfectly. One little niggle was that the hot water in the shower took a little while to get warm, which worried me. The good news is that once it heated up it stayed at a constant temperature, and there was no shortage of it. The water pressure was good too. Be warned, the hotel doors do not fully close under their own steam. We accidentally spent a night with the door not fully closed. Luckily we had no incidents, but it is one to watch for. I wouldn't consider it a problem,or something the hotel needs to fix, just a pointer to others for security purposes as a lot of hotel doors close by their own momentum and it is easy to forget to check.
Breakfast was quite impressive. There was a good variety of pastries, cereals, yogurts, and dried and fresh fruits. The usual fruit juices were accompanied by a big jug of homemade smoothie-I didn't try it, but it was a nice touch. Everything was clearly labelled, and there were plenty of bowls etc. The cooked breakfast was buffet; the chefs on both mornings were friendly and cheery, as were the waiting staff.
We had dinner in the hotel bar on one evening, this meal was included in our voucher. We shared a starter, which was pork belly ribs. I'd happily return just for those alone! They were amazing! The main courses were delicious, and there was so much that we had to pass on dessert. We had a nice bottle of red wine to wash it all down with.
The hotel was a great base for exploring; we did some clay-pigeon shooting and took a trip to Skerries and Malahide. We thought the hotel itself was fabulous, but let down slightly by the town. Still, there are plenty of activities in the area, and it is only a couple of minutes walk from the DART station.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. All the staff were friendly, the food tasty and plentiful, and the hotel itself decorated nicely. It was a lovely, relaxing couple of days. As I always like to be out and about exploring, it is a credit to the hotel that I was perfectly happy to stay in and relax. Both of us agreed that we would happily return. It was excellent value for money, and with free car parking and DART services it makes a great base. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for the Wales-Ireland rugby international in February as Dublin hotels were too expensive. Although Balbriggan is a pretty unremarkable seaside town the Bracken Court provided us with a comfortable base for the weekend. It does some great deals; we paid just 173 euros for a double room for 3 nights. The food was very good and there was live entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. The bar is lively and charges reasonable prices comparable with local pubs. We'd certainly stay here again.
