“Gorgeous Views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

Wound up in Dalkey somewhat unexpectedly when our flight was cancelled and we were scrambling for a place to stay near Dublin, but it turned out to be a pleasant and relaxing end to our vacation. Dalkey is a great town for just wandering around and enjoying the sea views. We walked into Dalkey and then from the Joyce Tower all the way down to Vico Road. Coliemore Harbour has a free telescope you can use to check out the ruins of St. Begnet's and the martello tower on Dalkey Island. Make sure you climb to the top of the hill at nearby Sorrento Park. It wouldn't be a very difficult walk for most people (it's short and not terribly steep) and the views are really spectacular!

“The Vico Road”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2014

Get the Dart out of Dublin, one of the world's unsing great railway journeys, for beautys sake go up all the way to Bray and grab an ice cream but for the puposes of this article get off at Killiney, cross the bridge and turn right. Now bear right and hug the coast all the way back to Dalkey. Wonderful views, interesting houses, a gentle enough stroll, maybe a look at the beach, maybe a climb up the hill. Whatever you do it's a fabulous stroll, never to be forgotten....

Love this place. Well worth taking a walk around here, theres a nice route from Dun Laoire along the coast to Dalkey and then up Killiney Hill. some breath taking scenery. If you can take a Kayak out to the island and explore.

“Excellent day trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 July 2013 via mobile

Went Kayaking to here with deepbluesea kayaking, excellent guidance and well informed hosts supplied all the gear and it was a very smooth operation. The island is really unspoilt and has beautiful views of the Dalkey Coastline inc millionaire homes! The ruins on the island are all worth a potter.
