“Very good quality for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 September 2012

This is a very beautiful hotel.
The beds are of good quality and I did sleep well.
Both the breakfast and diner are good.
I had a room almost at the end of the corridor, so not to much guest traffic making noise in the corridor at the evening.

Are there any disadvantages ?
Yes, if your room is at the end of the corridor, men it's feeling like doing heavy excersise with all the lugage carrying to the room.
Also the distance from the parkinglot to the entrance is a good walk.
The towels had some rest dirt from a previous guest. (good that they supply you with 2 sets of towels)

Stayed at this hotel for a girls night out and had a great night! There was a great buzz around the hotel and it was far livelier than we expected. We had a lovely meal at the restaurant nearby and went back to the hotel. Rooms were basic but clean and perfectly sufficient. For 44 euro each, I really can't fault this hotel.

WOW what can't say, this place has it all. The Resort is huge and has everything from restaurants, gym, pool, golf course, bars, kids room. My partner and I really enjoyed the meal from the Lemongrass which we had delivered too our room and also the meal from the Bistro. Reasonable prices for a Dublin Hotel. The room was brilliant, very big we even had a kingside bed. The walk from the luas to the hotel is do able but make sure your fit to walk :) This hotel is always busy busy but very quiet at night time. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Just back from stay at Citywest. First time to stay here was looking for city centre but most places fully booked or extremely overpriced. The luas took about 40minutes to get to hotel from busaras a bit long but for a room price of 52 pound a night I think this is a small price to pay.
The hotel is lovely first impressions were good grounds are beautiful reception helpful and rooms very big.Rooms at first can be a bit hard to find as hotel so big but corridors well signed and soon this was no problem.
The hotel was very busy due to a lot of events taking place in Dublin. We ourselves were attending a concert so we liked the buzz and hustle and bustle. The crack in the bar on Saturday nite was good we had a great night. My only gripe would have been that the Friday nite was a bit dull in bar even a bit of background music would have been good.
Great weekend, great hotel would highly recommend and we will be back.

One of the finest hotels the whole of Ireland...without any doubt...stayed for two nights at the weekend for 80Euros per room which included full Irish Breakfast. Situated in acres of beautiful open golfing countryside and tree lined avenues, the main entrance was set back from the road and had appeal of a country residence built in a victorian manner commanding the approach to the beautifully private seclusion of the hotel. To say grand would not overstate its very positive impact on arrival. With large areas of accommodated surrouding a rectangular enclosure for guests parking and situated on the edge of Dublin city it boasts the coveted Christy O'Connor golf course nearby. Having well appointed rooms and excellent attentive reception staff, the checkin was a breeze. The rooms were richly furnished with dark mahogany reproduction furniture which added a distinctive feel of quality and ambience to its soft lighting decor. The beds were a tad too firm but generally comfortable enough for a short stay. With over 770 rooms, this is a large and extremely busy hotel which caters for many prominent functions and wedding parties which unfortunatey was overly busy for staying guests the weekend we stayed. We couldn't find any seating anywhere in the lounge or bar areas which is unfortunate as the live music atmosphere was lively and full of patrons enjoying themselves. After several minutes of scouting for spare seating we were forced to retreat to our rooms with our drinks. The bar staff could have been a little more attentive to say the least when enquiries were made regarding ordering from the bar menu earlier in the afternoon and this was a negative. However ordering a drink was much better depending on which side of the bar you were standing. The bar area would need to be extended to cope with the sheer volume of guests at this hotel. Breakfast staff were efficient and tables were cleared promptly and the range of food was varied to allow for most tastes. The hotel staff particularly, receptional, bedroom and breakfast dining rooms were fantastic and gave an excellent image of the hotel as safe, dependable and willing to oblige the guests in whatever way they possibly could. Would highly recommend the hotel taxi service as drivers are most conveniently parked in the grounds directly outside the main entrance and our driver for the evening was an absolute gentleman who drove us to and from the Aviva Stadium and charged under 70 Euros for both journeys of between 25-30minutes approx. each way. Woud have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would highly recommend it apart from the seating issue as staying guests in my opinion should be accommodated a little better on busy dates but 9/10 overall and fantastic quality, location and staff ranked outstanding in every other aspect of our stay for an extremely busy hotel. Well done Citywest - a somewhat hidden jewel in the crown of southwest Dublin.

We stayed here several nights and really enjoyed it. The staff went above and beyond to help us. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The lightrail is a few minute walk and easy to use to get into Dublin. It took a little while, maybe 40 minutes total from the hotel. My husband refused to take the train at night. Taxi cost about 25-30 Euro from Dublin. Make sure to ask the driver how much before getting in.

We stayed here for two nights last weekend. I have stayed here many times over the last few years for the all ireland and it's always been a very pleasent experience, staff are mostly pleasent and breakfast is fantastic with plenty of choice for everybody. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and very clean with tea/coffee making facilities. This hotel is very big and has long corridors so plenty of walking but there is lifts as well as stairs. We stayed in the swift wing this year and my only complaint would be the noise of the water pipes in the morning which did wake me on both mornings. However on other occasions we were in the west wing and i didn't experience any noise, I would stay here again but would request to be in west wing!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: If you have walking difficulties ask for a ground floor room near recepton
