My husband and I went to Ireland for our honeymoon in October 2013. After landing in Dublin we wanted a couple of days at the beach to relax. We found Redbank Guest House online. Our stay was delightful! Marie made our stay there absolutely perfect.
We loved our two nights there. The place was clean and cozy and the Fry was one of our favorites (actually our favorite right after his Aunt's).
Skerries is a very nice place to visit. Go to Stoop Your Head for the best seafood chowder!

We visited the Redbank on the recent Bank Holiday weekend and were unimpressed with both the presentation and quality of the dishes. The fish rool while tasty looked liked something your dog would leave on the lawn. The main course of 3 fish were hard to distinguish because they were overpowered with the sauces. The desert trolley was on view all evening and not chilled why meant my cheesecake was a soddy mess and the base of my wife's desert was charred an burnt. The only positive aspect of our visit was the freshly cooked breakfast and the attention rendered on us by Terry's son.We will not be returning!!!

After reading previous reviews booked for two nights to revisit were our grandparents lived and our parents had a house in Holmepatrick.
This Guest House needs help! Maybe by the Hotel Inspector! It is drab, grubby .Our first room safe was broken and so was the phone! We had to pack up and move. There was never anyone at reception which was a mess. Saw owner at breakfast but we ignored us as we had not eaten at his restaurant next door!
On the plus side. Scrambled eggs were scrumpy!

Room Tip: Sorry no rooms to suggest

Anyone with class will appreciate this guesthouse. Located in the fishing village of Skerries it is a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The furniture in the room is all antique and exquisite. The bedrooms and ensuite are large and roomy. The beds comfortable. I had the best sleep i have had in a very long time. My breakfast was the icing on the cake - salmon and scrambled egg - the eggs cooked to perfection and the salmon had flavour the like of which I have never tasted as good before. I can't wait to return. The restaurant has won many awards and if the breakfast is anything to go by then I'm looking forward to trying it on my return. A very pleasant host also.

On our recent visit we were super happy with the quality of service, especially from the team at check in and breakfast.
The team went above and beyond expected service, changing issues we were facing with travel timing, into a solutions. This is so rare.
Well done.

Stayed here for just one night, next time, I'll stay longer and there will be a next time. It was delightful and so reasonable. Just eur45.00 for a single room, double bed, very well appointed room and bathroom, spotlessly clean and overlooking a thatched house. In the morning an excellent breakfast, with great choice, was served. The young man in the breakfast room was very attentive and the Owner was doing the rounds chatting to his guests. Lovely garden out the back. next time, I hope to sample dinner as I hear it is very good. Skerries is charming, at any time of the year, but especially now with such glorious weather.

Room Tip: Even though I was overlooking the street, it felt like I could have been in the heart of the country...

When we return to Ireland, we'll make it a point to get back here. Chose hotel and restaurant based on Frommers review, which recommended hotel for a good first or last night in Ireland in close proximity to airport (a 24 minutes drive). Owner Terry McCoy personally served us an excellent dinner while telling us about the local history involving Saint Patrick and Napolean, as well as personal stuff. He says he loves his work, and it shows. The three-course early bird had a nice variety of entrees and homemade desserts and was reasonably priced (26 euro). We stayed comfortably with 3 kids (14 yrs+) in the family room with king bed and 3 rollaway beds. Warm croissants in the morning were excellent.

Room Tip: Top floor room was large enough for 5 and had a great breeze, but had reduced water pressure.
