We stayed at the Redbank after reading a very glowing review in Sawday's Ireland. We had been in Dublin all week, and it was great to be in a small coastal village not too far from the Int'l airport.
Our two night stay was very pleasant. The room had two single beds, per our request, and faced the rear courtyard. Very peaceful. The bathroom and furniture is certainly in need of updating, but for the price paid, we thought it was a real bargain. The dinner, included in our package was good. Breakfasts were also well made. Good service too. Terry, the owner and chef, greeted us upon arrival and personally served us at supper. He also gave us good recommendations for local tourist activities. The ancient sights of Newgrange, Knowth, and the Hill of Tara, are all within a short drive. And, don't forget to look for St. Patrick's footprint at the beach during low tide. Certainly good luck to find it!

Room Tip: room 16 was very cozy and quiet.

Stayed here with a few family members in April 14. Booked two twin rooms at an exceptionally good rate. Checkin was swift and hassle free. Hotel was peaceful and rooms were clean to a good standard however some room fittings appeared a little tired i.e the bedside lamps. Would happily stay here again.

I booked this b&b as a nice getaway for my boyfrend and I to get out of Dublin City for St. Patrick's weekend. When we arrived we were greeted by an extremely rude and unfriendly young woman who we found out later was named Vicka. She basically told us to use a different door so we had to go all the way around the far side of the b&b even though there was an entrance where we were previously! She was unsociable and unhelpful from the get-go and there was no-one else around to help us out in any way. Pity this was our first interaction with anyone related to the b&b. Also, the halls actually smelled like pee and the wifi did not work. We actually met this Vicka again on our way out to get some food later that night and she was equally as rude. The next morning the shower had no hot water and we finally met someone else who worked there who was friendly enough. I would never stay here again, this Vicka girl gave us no information about dinner times, laughed at us when we found out dinner was over and did not offer advice on anywhere else to go. She is the reason our stay was awful and the fact that the place smelled awful and the food was overpriced everywhere in Skerries. Definitely will not be staying here again.

Room Tip: Go for the higher rooms, chance they are a bit nicer than room number 3.

My wife & I booked in to the Red Bank for an overnight stay following dinner in the Red Bank Restaurant. The food & service in the restaurant was good, but staying in the guest house was a big mistake which spoiled the whole experience. On arrival, we found the room allocated to us was FREEZING COLD. The radiator in the room was turned off. The room up a narrow flight of stairs and we could not locate fire escape signs in the area. The decor was old, drab and very dated. The sheets looked grey/white. the pillows on one of the beds had a bad swetty smell. The bathroom was also dated, drab and cramped. The hand towel was like a torn rag. We enquired if they had another room. They did not have another room available. We turned on the radiator full blast and left for dinner assuming the room would heat up. Six hours later we returned. The room was hotter. However, the mattress on the bed was still FREEZING COLD.
As we tried to sleep, the cold of the mattress which had not been warmed for a very long time seeped into our bones. It acted more like a fridge than a bed. Following little sleep we survived until breakfast which was good except for the orange juice which was awful. We left, NEVER TO RETURN. This room represents the worst accommodation we had ever had in any establishment around the World. On leaving no member of staff enquired if we had any issues.

Clean, breakfast okay. Avoid room 2 as this is beside guest house entrance, and you can hear noise. Also room 2 is on bottom floor, there is a taxi stand across street, on a Sunday night it was noisy until after 2 am. Also states wifi, so slow you couldn't use. 1 night only...

My husband and I went to Ireland for our honeymoon in October 2013. After landing in Dublin we wanted a couple of days at the beach to relax. We found Redbank Guest House online. Our stay was delightful! Marie made our stay there absolutely perfect.
We loved our two nights there. The place was clean and cozy and the Fry was one of our favorites (actually our favorite right after his Aunt's).
Skerries is a very nice place to visit. Go to Stoop Your Head for the best seafood chowder!
