Perfectly located on the sea, with outstanding views and just close enough to the village for a quiet walk either on the shore or through the streets. Your hosts, Joe & Jackie are lovely, as is their piece of heaven they have shared.

We totally enjoyed our stay. The views are amazing; we could see all the way to the Mourne Mts. to the north. The hosts were very attentive, and were always obliging: providing a jug of milk and a bowl of sugar for a late night cup of tea. The facilities are lovely. We stayed in the Harbor Master room, it was a delight with gret views through the wall to wal window. Sliding glas doors open onto the patio wher we sat and gazed out over the harbor. The guest common area where we ate breakfast is homey and snug. The salmon and eggs breakfast was yummy as was the museli. There is plenty to do in Skerries and there ae many fine retaurants. We hope to return again soon.

Our trip started with our own house alarm going off 5 minutes before we departed and the fuse blowing for all the down stairs lights. Departing with all this background stress we arrived at The White Cottages at 2:30pm Sunday. We were greeted by both Joe and Jackie and made to feel at ease immediately. Shown to our room and shown were we could sit and chill out while we waited for our Lobster Lunch which we had pre ordered. And what a chilling out area, a lovely lounge with French doors leading on to a terrace right on the waters edge. A friendly seal swimming a short distance from the shore. In minutes all the earlier stresses were gone. The 3 course lunch arrived to start off our night away. The whole meal was delicious and very good value but most of all you didn't have to go some where looking for a table on a Sunday. We would never have found a table that matched where we sat in the cottages. After lunch we moved out on to the terrace (finishing our own wine!) and reading the Sunday newspapers. We spent the evening in Skerries a short walk along the shore and returned at ten to sit on the terrace again. Breakfast like Lunch was all very fresh good quality ingredients. After checking out we sat for an hour or so on the terrace (a little reluctant to leave). Throughout Joe and Jackie were helpful and friendly presence if needed. We will be back and we will stay longer

We have just arrived home following a three-day break at The White Cottages. After a warm, friendly welcome we were shown to our room - the Harbour Master - which is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, has uninterrupted views of the bay and has French doors opening onto the terrace. We had pre-booked the lobster lunch - an absolute treat, prepared by Jackie O'Connor and served on a beautifully dressed table on the terrace. Next day, we were just as impressed with the breakfast - good-quality ingredients, perfectly cooked, served by Joe O'Connor who has perfected the art of combining efficiency with a relaxed, friendly style. We were fortunate that our visit coincided with three days of glorious sunshine, so we were able to fully appreciate the splendid views, the vivid colours, the sunsets. It was idyllic. The weather will probably never be as good again on any future visit, but it won't matter - we have fallen in love with The White Cottages - and so will you!

Our return trip to Skerries and our return to The White Cottages was wonderful. We stayed in the Harbour Master Room. Views of the bay and the sounds of the sea all night. Magic. This year we had dinner one evening. Lobster dinner. Freshly caught in the bay. Locally caught crab for starters. After dinner drinks on the terrace. It does not get much better.
We will be back.

We were very happy with our online choice. For our first visit to Ireland we couldn't have found a better, more romantic place.
The cottages are immaculate outside and inside, just like we had imagined for this kind of establishment. Very cosy rooms with spectacular views over the beach on the outskirtsof Skerries, amazing Irish breakfast and very frendly landlady (Jackie). It was like a second honeymoon.

Pretty cottages overlooking the sea. Small dining area outside for sunny days. Lovely staff, very pleasant and accommodating. Our room was fairly small, but had all of the facilities of the bigger rooms. Will stay again.
