Where do I start??? The meal- fabulous homecook Irish breakfast......the service- we were treated better than family.....the room- what a beautiful view of Kellys Bay......the owners- two of the best people we met in Ireland, and terrific at providing information on roads, tourist sites, things to see, and things to avoid. This was our first night in Ireland after arriving from the U.S. and we had a great night sleep. The short walk into the village of Skerries was wonderful, filled with small restaurants and pubs. There is a small outdoor patio that overlooks the sea and the Irish coast. We could have spent our entire trip at the White Cottages. Highly recommended. Thank you for a terrific visit.

Stayed here for one night. Absolutely excellent - if you're going to Skerries, stay here. It's even a good reason to go to Skerries and have a night or weekend away!

What is is? A lovely B&B, with lovely sea views across Skerries to the harbour and out to sea. It's right on the water (like, it comes to the back of the house), and there's an outdoor area to sit and enjoy the view. The place has been very tastefully decorated - whitewash, New England meets Greece type vibe, and has a lovely homey, relaxed feel to it. You are put instantly at your ease by the owners/staff, and the place is a welcoming, friendly, delight.

Breakfast was delicious (we had cereal, juice, coffees, teas, and a cooked option as well). Very good. The rooms were great: clean & bright, good bed, and of course, more sea views.

I'd look forward to staying there again. The walk home from the restaurants and bars at the harbour is "just the right distance" :-)

they would be like this!

I have now had the good fortune of staying at The White Cottages on two separate occasions. Everything about the place is perfection personified.

- Charming clean, bright accommodation, with spectacular sea views.
- Wonderfully-cooked traditional Irish breakfast.
- Free Wi-fi throughout.
- Very comfortable lounge/dining area.
- Lovely rear sun terrace. Somewhere that you can sit with a glass of wine whilst enjoying spectacular sea views.

Thank you, Joe and Jackie for your warm hospitality and for making my stay at The White Cottages such a comfortable and enjoyable one.

The best advice I could give to anyone thinking of staying at The White Cottages is: Book it now, before someone else beats you to it.

You will not find a better B & B anywhere!

Why White Cottage is not reimbursed by social security?
Such a welcome, a room with a incredible view on the beach, a delicious welcome, sumptuous breakfast and a village with great pubs and restaurants are excellent for health.
And in bonus few seals playing just to the edge.
Really not to be missed. Thank you again to Joe and Jackie for this dream location.

Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely stay at the White Cottages - great room with a beautiful view and fantastic service. The location is perfect, only a 15 minute stroll into the town along a pebble beach. Highly recommended.

We usually stay in hotels when we go away for a weekend but when we saw the web page for the White Cottages in Skerries we decided to try this place as it looked so beautiful we were not disappointed. We were given the Harbour masters room it was attached to the main cottage but had its own entrance and we had breakfast in the main building. It was all so well decorated in keeping with the cottages but so lovely and bright and we overlooked the stunning views from both the hugh window and also the patio doors. There is a lovely patio area to sit and relax outside in the sunshine as well. Jackie and Joe were so friendly and gave us plenty of tips regarding good restaurants and places to visit etc.. The breakfasts were fabulous. Even though its overlooking the sea it is still very close to both the beach and its bars and restaurants and also the town is only a stones throw away. We would have no problem recommending this B&B to anyone - its well worth a visit. I would love to transport the white cottages to Sligo and live in them permanently!! The decoration, furniture etc... are all so in keeping with the cottage and the beautiful window boxes and hanging baskets make it all so romantic and a place you would love to call home. ger & tom Sligo

On a recent trip to Ireland we stayed atThe White Cottages for one night and it was an absolute pleasure to meet Joe and Jackie and experience their warmth and hospitality. The accomodation was very clean and comfortable and the location was fantastic, we wished that we had been able to stay there for longer, so on our next trip to Ireland we will try to book with them for the whole of our stay.If you are thinking of staying there you must make time for the wonderful lobster lunch that they cook, it is lovely! and to sit in the dining room overlooking the sea while you are eating is brilliant. They also do an afternoon tea which looks fantastic, we didn't have time for this , but will make time on our next visit. Nearly forgot about the breakfast, amazing!
