Just back from a long weekend, over celebrating or niece's 50tyh birthday with other family members from Edinburgh. Joe & Jackie made us very welcome. Sea views with the occassional sighting of the grey seals and herron. Lovely breakfast.

We have been going to Ireland now for close to 8 years together. Meaning no disrespect to those excellent B&Bs that we have stayed at in the past, The White Cottages is the best that we have ever been to and stayed at in Ireland. Jackie and Joe O'Connor, the owners, are incredibly gracious and accommodating. The White Cottages is a beautiful, scenic and peaceful B&B. The views are gorgeous. The room we stayed in, The Harbor Master, offered a view of the Irish Sea that was simply breathtaking. The entire B&B was pristine and yet so comfortable. Breakfast, each morning, was delicious, plentiful and presented in a very elegant manner. The room in which breakfast was served cannot be described. Views of the water, various species of birds and seals accompanied our breakfasts. We loved the proximity of this place to downtown Skerries. We were able to walk into town where there are excellent restaurants, pubs and shops. Jackie and Joe also helped in making our stay so memorable and meaningful by making us feel at home and treating us as though we were family. And, they were incredible in giving us suggestions as to where to go and visit, both locally and in the area. All such suggestions were perfect. Lest we forget, their dogs, Holly and Casey, only enhanced the joy of our stay with Jackie and Joe. We just got back today but had to write this review now. We miss The White Cottages, Joe, Jackie, Holly and Casey already. We have never returned from Ireland so refreshed and filled with so many memories. We will return to The White Cottages and look forward to this return in the near future. Jim and Michelle

Just back from 6 days at this lovely B&B.
You couldn't wish for a better situated place, more or less on the rocks and with seals swimming past the cottages every day.
Jackie and Joe are the perfect hosts doing everything possible to help in all ways.
The breakfast is fresh, organic and very well presented. Fresh - different - fruit every day from grapes, melon, pineapple to strawberries and red currents on a string. Fresh juice, homemade soda bread and of course the fresh salmon served with yellow organic eggs decorated with greens.
We stayed in the Harbour Master room the last day and came back to the room early evening to find candles lit, hot water bottle in the bed (I have a bad back) and a bottle of champagne. The Harbour Master room is fabulous and needs to be seen.
Thank you Jackie and Joe - we will return.

We two couples from Australia had a wonderful stay here in September. We could have stayed in Dublin but chose to stay outside of it, an inspired choice. Dublin was easy to reach by rail to do the tourist things but the White Cottages were wonderful to come home to with the lovely serenity of the seaside. Joe and Jackie are wonderful hosts, we had an amazing fresh lobster meal one night sitting with a view of the sea and gentle music playing in the background. Terrific breakfasts in the morning. All very relaxed and all done with care.
The accommodation is just lovely and it all makes you feel as if you are staying at a friend's beach house. We had the harbour master room with the big picture window overlooking the sea.
The location cannot be described adequately, it is stunning.
It is a lovely walk around to the head and this area includes fishing boats a nice pub and a seafood restaurant that serves wonderful food and a great seafood chowder.
It was what I call a magic moment on the holiday.

Room Tip: Do try the lobster dinner, the lobster is caught in the sea just outside the cottages. Fresh! Order...

Myself & my husband stayed in the Harbour Master room. There are only 4 rooms in total. The view from the room is fab, you can lie on the bed & see Carlingford Lough one side & Skerries Harbour the other. The room was spotless. It was a beautiful day so we decided to sit out side & enjoy the views. My husband had brought some beers & I had 2 glasses of Precesso which were €4 each. An American guy joined us & we had a lovely afternoon. As it was getting cold the young girl brought us out blankets to wrap around us. We had dinner in Blue that evening, it's down at the Harbour. Skerries is a really lovely place. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, joe had tea lights in lanterns all around the breakfast area, it's was so peaceful & we watched the seals in the sea from our table. This place is like a home from home & yet so peaceful. Joe & Jackie are friendly but not intrusive. They really have a beautiful place. I hope we get to go back again.

White Cottages is the first place we book when visiting Ireland as we always stay here when we arrive off the ferry in Dublin. Fantastic location, great hosts and wonderful breakfasts what more could you want?

Thanks Joe and Jackie for another great stay.

We spent three nights at The White Cottages and wish we could have stayed longer. The B&B is perfect, wonderful and delightful. The owners are outstanding! Joe and Jackie are terrific and the breakfast is amazing! Skerries was the first leg of our two week vacation and the perfect way to start our Ireland adventure. We relaxed sea side, enjoyed the beauty of the seashore, ate fabulous food [seafood is sensational in Skerries] and took a day trip into Dublin [short and easy DART ride into Dublin]. Perfectly situated to have the best of both worlds. We cannot say enough about this B&B or about Skerries - just take our word for it and go.

Room Tip: Loved the Master Harbour suite!
