I stayed with my family in the Glashaus in June. Really enjoyed the weekend, fantastic hotel with beautiful rooms. Great location close to the Luas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We all looked forward to the breakfast each morning. Great value for money. Can't wait to stay again soon.

Overall the hotel was fine and the room was good too. A few things of note were that it didn't seem to be fully "tuned" in, it almost felt like it had just recently opened. On requesting a hairdryer I did get a new one in a box! No safe in the room, which should be standard in this type of city location. One interesting event was then breakfast, which was quality-wise quite mediocre. No glasses for juices, fruit in bowl not fresh. Unfortunately, somebody in the kitchen then must have burnt some toast, which meant that the fire alarm went off and big shutters came down over the windows, which I thought was a bit odd. The window was certainly not an escape route !!!
Location-wise it is probably okay if you want to use the tram service, even though it is a long run into the city centre from Tallaght. Surroundings, whilst all new all pretty derelict looking - celtic tiger gone sour!

Myself and my husband booked into the hotel initially for one night on the 25/5/14 because we needed to be close to Tallaght hospital which was 2 mins away, quickly we realised our stay needed to be longer because my father sadly was given only days to live so we booked for another 8 Nights.
I cannot express how friendly and caring the whole staff team at the hotel were to us, we were treated like VIP guests or family members we can't decide which and can honestly say they helped us through a most heartbreaking time.
They could not do enough for us and it was way and above the call of duty, the chef and restaurant manager ensured we had food to take to the hospital for our vigils and we had first class treatment on our return.
The food in the restaurant is amazing and very reasonably priced, and the friendliness of the staff gives way to a very pleasant atmosphere, the rooms are beautiful and spotless and the special deal negotiated for our stay was truly appreciated.

I cannot name all staff because we did not meet all staff however I would like to say a massive thank you to the following and in no particular order because they are all wonderful.
Dave, Gerry, Helen, Sam, Vinny, Stephen, Niamh, Cristina, Maria, Michelle, Natasha, Rebecca and Kieran and all the staff I have not named.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to you all at the Glashaus and we will most certainly return to stay with you again.
Lots of love luck and laughter to you all.
Gary and Rachel xxx
