Campground is reasonably well kept. Space has power & water & some, like I had are very narrow. Showers & bathrooms were usable but need to be kept up better and look industrial. Concrete walls & a sheet of stainless steel for a mirror. Just not what I am used to for a campground but I typically stay at KOAs or Good Sam campgrounds.

Thank you for taking time to leave a review, feedback is very important to us. We will look into the cleanliness of the bathrooms, all of our bath houses have been replaced in the last year. We do hope you will be back to see us.

Loved everything about this park! The restaurant is great, the swimming pool is clean and the staff were all very friendly. The museum was also very well done.

David Crockett State Park is a wonderful place to visit whether for a week or for just a couple of hours. The park is so well maintained that it is a place of relaxation & convenience. The cabins & campgrounds offer relaxation at its best. The cabins overlook a lake which offer fishing & paddle boats. The campground sits beside a stream & play areas. The hiking trails are numerous where you just might walk up on a deer or even a wild turkey. There is also a delicious restaurant, museum & public swimming pool. This park offers something for everyone & the staff there is very friendly & very helpful!

Whenever I am in town, a drive thru the Park is a must. On a very hot day we brought a picnic lunch and found a picnic table in the shade by the lake. A number of people were enjoying the rentals (kayak, paddle boards and paddle boats).
A very enjoyable lunch.

We stayed in tent on site #7 . All sites around that curve are on a hill but nice shade from trees in afternoon. #6 is the best if want to be close to the showers with the most room to spread out. #31 and #32 would be the best spot for smaller campers with best view of the stream across the road with trees for shade with privacy and still the hookups. Sites along the stream offers access to the water but little room for large RV's. Showers are on the ends of the shower building with doors that lock for private shower/ changing area. The shower is not very strong but is okay. Clean facilities and summer activities for the kids. Paddleboats/ canoes on the lake.
