“walk to the castle”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

It is a lovely walk to the castle and on a sunny day its a great spot to sit and take in the view. The castle is well preserved and well worth a scout around to see how it was built.

“Trek uphill to visit O'Brien's Castle in Inis Oirr”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014

Location, Location, Location - even way way back it made a difference. Interesting history - breath taking views plus observe the wild meadows and note the wild orchids. The stonework - Aran walls immortalised by Sean Scully - Artist.

“Fun hike with sheep & cattle”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

Another ruined Irish tower fort... what sets this one apart is its location at the top of a terraced hill with views of both Galway bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy and imagine what it would have been like to live here 500 years ago!

“Nice castle”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

We came to the castle by pony and trap and spent a good amount of time looking around. Basically just a run down castle, but with an interesting past and a beautiful view - worth a visit if you are on Innis Orr
