We stayed for one night on 18th April, I just wish it had been more! If you are looking for a quiet, romantic getaway in the middle of nowhere you must try this beautiful lodge. Everything was perfect. We had a massive room overlooking the lough with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Dinner was delicious, as was breakfast, I can't wait to return!

We've stopped a few times to eat here (always great) but this past weekend was the first time we stayed there. It was wonderful. The hospitality and welcome was great - not cheesy or flase - very genuine. The food was delicious and fresh and the room was big and had a view for the lake. We were in Connemara for the marathon and Maire was very helpful in advising about getting to the start line and she also invited us back to shower etc (even after we'd checked out!).
I will certainly go back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at Lough Inagh while visiting our children in Connemara in June - took 5 days for a break together; and both of us have nothing but good things to say about it. Welcoming, friendly, food quality was excellent, and the variety was good even though we were eating in throughout, We had a lake view room - absolutely stunning to wake up to - and we found the remoteness of the location really serene,

Other guests when we were there included a group of cyclists (who found it a great base for exploring Connemara - and had a lot of fun in the evenings at the hotel too!) and someone who needed somewhere in the area that was pet-friendly.

If you just want to get away from it all, it's the biz.

Eight of us happened upon this Inn while driving to Clifden. We stopped for lunch and had the most amazing experience. We all want to come back and stay. The staff was so friendly, so welcoming, and so inviting. They gave us a tour of the Inn, showed us such amazing hospitality. I would recommend this Inn to anyone! The views were spectacular!!
My favorite stop of the trip!

August 2009, we booked a 2 night mid week stay, (B&B and one evening meal) for 3 adults in their triple room. One of our group was on holiday from S Africa and she loved it. The cosy hotel (more of a lodge than hotel) overlooks Lough Inagh and the Connemara Mountains and we had a super view from our room. The room was plenty big; it also had a dressing room and a big bath room, bath robes, slippers and plenty of towels. Would have liked a Teas made to make a cuppa in the room. All the hotel staff were more than helpful and friendly and advised on where to visit in the area. The food was delicious and breakfast had a huge selection that will keep you going beyond lunch time. We were given some of their delicious home made scones to take with us when we checked out. It was busy when we were there, as many of the guests were there for the lake fishing. Would recommend it as a quiet place for a relaxing break any time. Plenty of beautiful sights to see in this part of Connemara. Be advised it is the West Coast of Ireland so the weather is changeable but it does not detract from the beauty of the area, so come prepared, boots jackets etc.

The rooms were large and the beds were the most comfortable we've ever slept on... and the hotel staff was courteous, funny, and knowledgeable.

The class (for clueless Yanks) on 'How to make the perfect Irish Coffee' was wry, witty, delicious, and sinful. I wish I could recall the gentleman's name who did it... he deserves the credit for a fabulous evening's entertainment.

Take a dip in the pool (the Lough itself) for a brisk, refreshing moment in the summer - glorious after a full day of biking up and down the Connemara hills and bogs.

We loved the remote location and perfectly peaceful setting. We were worn out from the flight so this was the perfect first night stay. We found out that a part of the movie " Marley and Me" was filmed there and Jennifer Anniston even had lunch in the little pub. Just a little interesting fact. We had a enormous beautiful room and it was super quiet too.
