“Magnificent Food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 June 2014

This restaurant is simply unbelievable. We ate there two nights and both dinners were excellent. The bottle of Pinot Noir we ordered was lovely and the fish was always cooked to perfection. Harvey is a great guy and we so enjoyed him waiting on us both nights. Really fun to talk to. This is the place to go in Kinvara!!

“So good, we went twice!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 June 2014

The Pier Head was recommended by our hosts at the Kinvara Guest House, who told us it was part of their family business. While the all red dining room was a bit overwhelming, the menu offerings dispelled any concerns. The first evening, two of us just ordered soup. It was homemade mushroom and delicious. It was served with wonderful homemade brown bread and left us with just enough room for a fabulous, gluten free chocolate torte. Our other two companions chose fish specials which were equally well-prepared.

We found out that all of their breads and desserts are made fresh daily by the in house pastry chef. Knowing this, we decided to try a second night and were not disappointed. I had the filet which was perfectly cooked and actually had real flavor( unlike some American meat).

We found the staff efficient and friendly and happily recommend the Pier Head if you are near Kinvara.

“A nice find!”

Stopped here en route from Cliffs of Moher to Galway, a pleasant lunch. Smoked salmon app was fresh, fish of the day nicely prepared, calamari was very tender. Would recommend.

“Fantastic menu and staff!”

Pet ravelling through Ireland and wandered across this great little bar and restaurant. Had a drink, Guinness of course, and ordered the medium rare sirloin, while Dee ordered the duck with orange sauce and Cointreau. The meals came quickly and were sensational! As an Aussie aficionado of steak, the sirloin was one of the best I've ever had! Rare praise for a steak in an Irish up ! Can't say enough about the food and the excellent service provided by Harvey, our personal barman and waiter. We probably won't get back this way, but the food and service has left a great impression. Oh, and Harvey, go Brasil!!!!

to describe it in few words - food is very good but the place should be refreshed as it seem to be like last interiors changes has been made in 1970
