Most of you won't be as lucky but we were treated to a concert with our breakfast when Mary and Vincent shared a CD of their 13 year old son, Joseph. Joseph has the voice of an angel and we were fortunate to be able to hear him in person the next day when he was home on a bank holiday. Mary and Vincent Gorman made us all feel as if we were old friends.Their delightful home is so clean and graciously appointed, one might want to stay with them for the entire vacation. The dining room has fresh flowers on the table, napkins folded like lotus flowers and a delicious breakfast is served, with fresh fruit and scrumptious scones. Our favorite was smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Ballindrum Farm is charming from the tree over-arched lane to to the calves gambling in the field outside your window. Mary even called to say we had left things behind. We were happy we had an excuse to go back to Ballindrum Farm even though Mary had offered bring our belongings to us. We sincerely hope we have to opportunity to visit again!

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any room at Ballindrum Farm. I was on crutches and was even allowed to...

We stayed at Beech Lodge from 2nd - 9th June - this is our 3rd visit in less than 12 months and gives us a total of 6 weeks holidays in the Lodge. We use the lodge because it is convenient for our needs, rather than a one off holiday destination. It is always beautifully clean, tidy and welcoming. Mary and Vincent have always gone out of their way to provide the small extras (like a Christmas tree - @ Christmas) and have always been accommodating when an earlier check-in etc is needed. Ballindrum is a very picturesque and convenient location - only a 5 min drive from town (Athy) and 60 mins from Dublin and only about 90 mins to the coast. It is an ideal base for touring the east and south east of Ireland. Our boys love it - calling it their' country home'!

Although we stayed only one night we would like to highly recommend Ballindrum Farm. Mary greeted us with with pot of tea and home made scones and she and her husband were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was big, clean and comfy and has everything that we needed: toiletress in the bathroom, wi-fi, tv, bottled water, comfy bed and nice view on green fields with calves and hens . Breakfast was plenty and delicious (including fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and yummy scrambled egg with salmon). Great stay and real Irish hospitality!

This was the first B&B we stayed at on our Ireland vacation, and it was the best. We were able to check in early, and had fresh scones and all the fixings upon arrival. Joseph, their son, entertained us with Irish folk tunes on his "whistle." Vincent provided us with a history of the farm and provided us with a tour. The bedrooms were decorated nicely, generous in size, and the beds were comfortable. The hospitality provided to us was outstanding and was worth the drive to the country. Highly recommended.

A lovely B&B in a quiet, secluded and beautiful part of Kildare (great views) - yet very close to Athy (and Clancy's traditional Irish pub). We were very happy with our one night stay here. We booked a double room and stayed in a room fit for 4 (double bed, 2 singles) The room was comfortable with tea/coffee, snacks, bottles of water and, on arrival we were offered tea or fresh coffee. We had our cuppas in the conservatory, with home made scones and home made jam-all lovely
There was plenty of car parking space and our room had patio doors which opened out to a picnic bench, and, meant that we could come and go between the house and the car as well as having our own private entrance.
We had a very peaceful night's sleep and the morning shower was lovely- with complimentary toiletries available for our use. We were up early (for a local cycling event) and Mary set out a lovely breakfast. The full Irish smelled delicious, but we opted for homemade porridge/scrambled eggs & toast. There was homemade brown bread, scones and jams, a selection of fruit/fruit juices & a mini fridge with chesses/yoghurts.
We didnt get to do the tour of the farm- but we would love to the next time we visit!
Altogether, a very peaceful, relaxing stay in Mary's lovely home. A beautiful part of the country side and ideal for walking, cycling and forgetting about the rest of the world.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: We stayed in Rm 6- patio doors, so our own entrance. A nice room with plenty of space/tv/picnic benc...

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ballindrum Farm and the welcome we received was unsurpassed. Mary greeted us with delicious homemade scones, brown bread, jams, tea and hot chocolate at the farmhouse. Our accomodations were perfect at Beechwood Lodge just up the driveway from the farmhouse. The lodge (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a kitchen, tv living area, washer and dryer) was excellent and the view of the farmland was magnificent! My husband and daughter thoroughly enjoyed Vincent's tour of the farm and how it operates. The breakfasts were fantastic, with an extensive menu and everything so fresh including the delicious eggs! Mary is such a gracious and energetic hostess - she really makes you feel at home. We highly recommend Ballindrum Farm, and it's only about an hour or so from Dublin. A lovely B&B!

Myself and my wife stayed here a few nights ago. The welcome we got, with scones and tea, was exceptionally warm. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great (didn't need any lunch!). A lovely location, which took a bit of finding but was definitely worth it. So quiet and peaceful. Mary helped us to find a place for dinner in the town and it was a very good recommendation. An old nunnery which has been converted to a bar! Good food.
