“Back Again”
Reviewed 6 October 2013

this is my 5 or 6th time to visit here so obviously I like it. I have come by boat and stayed overnight. I have been here when there is a wedding on and its not so good then as the bar is too crowded to enjoy the ambiance. Today was a family Sunday lunch, nothing really to celebrate just 9 and a baby having lunch. We had the set 2 course each, a few drinks and 4 coffee's. 4 of use drove so couldn't drink. The bill was 420 without gratuity Euro as expected and the food was amazing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed there's and were delighted with the choice they made. I love the whole place and will definitely be back.

“Cookery school at Cafe Clodagh does not know what Croque madame is”
Reviewed 17 March 2012

I had a coffee at Cafe Clogagh today. There was a family, which was obviously out for Mother's Day. One member of the party ordered Croque Madame. What arrived was Croque Monsieur. When the lady asked for the egg she was told that Croque Monsieur did not involve an egg. The customer argued that it did and asked for an egg.
When the bill arrived a very heated discussion ensued. It seemed that Cafe Clodagh had charged her for the egg!
It was disgraceful. Not only was Cafe Clodagh in the wrong but the woman who dealt with the customer was so rude. I will not be back and I'm sure that family of 6 will not be back.

“The Village at Lyons - one of the wonders of Kildare!”
Reviewed 18 December 2009

We stayed here a couple of months ago and throughly enjoyed it, have never seen anything like it!! It's very Georgian/Victorian with a hint of old world France. Everything is Antique and there are huge fireplaces that are always lit and are so inviting they create a beautiful ambiance . The service was amazing, staff were very attentive and extremley friendly. The Receptionist was very helpful and knew all the history about the Estate which i found very intriguing and we were brought on a little bit of a tour.

This is definatley one of Kildare's best bits.

I would reccommend it to everyone!!!
