Stayed overnight on Saturday August 9 to attend reception in Kildare Club Straffan. Phoned in advance to secure early check in thanks to efficient and friendly staff. Room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was on the small side but very comfortable. The receptionist efficiently and professionally recommended a beauty salon when my wife inquired. We enjoyed our breakfast and would return in the future.

Celbridge Manor Hotel was an absolute beautiful surprise. From the impressive entrance and the friendly staff to the sumptuous food and spacious comfortable room, it was a wonderful experience. The building itself is impressive; the interior of another era; the rooms modern, spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom had separate bath and shower and was also very spacious. There is no specific restaurant, you eat in the bar. However, the food is very much restaraunt standard. Cost for room and food was excellent value for the standard provided. And you are on Dublin's doorstep. Yet you are in a rural village setting. Weather was bad for our stay and did not get to explore grounds. I will be back and will venture further. This is one not to miss - really.

I had a business team meeting at this hotel recently. Five of us stayed and the hotel did us a fantastic rate for the meeting room on the following day. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and seem to take their jobs seriously and their approach to customer service is refreshing. The hotel itself is beautiful and contains huge amounts of old style charm. The rooms are very comfortable indeed. Breakfast was terrific and again, lots of great customer attention and service. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel recently re opened and was previously called the Setanta Hotel. I struggled a bit to find the place as it was not on my Garmin under its new name and 11811 didn't recognise it either. I pointed this out to the hotel but it just may take a bit of time to get fixed. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Went here with my family for a meal,it was a disgrace to be served cold food that was frozen.Paid nearly €80 for the meal we would have enjoyed McDonald's better at a quarter of the price. €16.95 for fish and chips which probably cost €3 in aldi.

Staff were lovely and surroundings are beautiful but to serve frozen food to people, I couldnt believe it.would definitely not recommend to anyone.

Dear Guest,

It is with regret that we read your review, We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your meal at the Manor and I have already stated so in my email to you, I wish to ensure you that we do not use frozen fish in the hotel and you can be assured that we do not buy our produce in aldi (good and all as aldi is) but from a reputable fish supplier, so again I apologise for your experience here.

We are however glad that you found our surroundings nice and the staff pleasant,

Should you want to contact me again please feel free to do so

Kind Regards

A excellent hotel at the end of celbridge town, within walking distance of castletown house and a short drive from Dublin city. The rooms were large with a nice claw foot bath in each room. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was good as was the bteakfast in the morning. plenty of choice on menus.Overall a good hotel well worth spending a night or two at. Would be more than happy to stay here again .

I chose this hotel for my partners 30th and we had a fantastic night. The room was lovely and big with a fantastic bathroom that came with both bath & shower. We had a BB&D package and it was great value. The food was amazing. I would have no problems recommending this hotel, everything about our stay was great. We will be heading back here again.

We simply stumbled on this gem having flown into Dublin, picked up rental car and headed towards Galway. Sadly the GPS that we had been given by the rental car co had not been reprogrammed, so was less than user friendly. We'd had enough so just wanted accommodation, drove through the gates, my husband said " oh looks expensive" decided that we didn't care, so went in anyway. It is beautiful, gracious, and not in the least expensive at €89 for B&B. The staff could not be more helpful, especially the lovely Sive who went out of her way to try to get the GPS working properly. Our room, bathroom with claw foot bath, communal rooms, and breakfast were all superb.
