“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 July 2014 via mobile

My partner & I stayed at the Osprey for two nights & had a lovely break.
The hotel is situated in a quiet location but only a five minute walk to the centre of Naas .
We were greeted on arrival by Sarah on reception who was both friendly & helpful advising us about the dining times , choice of bars & details of the spa .
Our room was very spacious and had a large balcony overlooking the outdoor bar area & waterfall at the rear of the hotel.
Breakfast was very enjoyable , the buffet meant you could choose from the the fruit, cereals , full range of hot foods & breads that were available .
We had the two course dinner in the hotel on one evening & paid a supplement to have steak , the food was lovely & service excellent .
We did however feel that a bottle of wine was quite pricey.
The hotel is located about 20 minutes from the Kildare outlet village which is well worth a visit .
All in all we had a relaxing break & would like to return to this hotel .

Stayed here with my boyfriend.. Lovely place.. Arrived at 3, room wasnt ready.. We were starving so grabbed a bite to eat in the restaurant, which was tasty. Reception rang 10 mins later saying our room was ready! Bad staff were caring and friendly. I liked the way there is a carpark underground that shuts at night, and you can open and close it yourself if you leave. Makes ur mind at ease when you bring a car! Our room was fantastic! 2 massive couches which you could lie flat on and you still had loads and loads of space! A lovely table that we had our room service on ! Maybe the tv service was a little fuzzy! The screen for instance. The bathroom downstairs was elegant and fancy! Our bedroom was beautiful a big massive comfy bed and a massive bath! I forgot to say we had the penthouse suite.. We also could look out on the fountain/pond below, and were at the highest and had a beautiful view.. We had a lovely balcony a big massive one..

My only improvements would be.
Curtains on the bedroom or bigger ones downstairs as there is buildings across where people could see up to our bedroom
The tv screen been fuzzy
Wi fi did not work for us around hotel at all!
Some lights not working!
Other than that great hotel!!

Stayed here for 2 nights in July and had a lovely stay. we had breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner in the hotel and the food was well presented and tasted great. The chicken wings with blue cheese dip was a particular hit with my husband. The freshly made scones in the morning were terrific. We had a large room with separate bath and shower, we were overlooking the front of the hotel, which was quiet, wish I could say the same for the air conditioning which was quite noisy. We used the spa and had treatments which were good and well priced. There was a large pool, which was popular with children. The thermal suite was lovely, very private and quiet. We were able to walk into Naas town from the hotel and there were plenty of shops and boutiques to keep you occupied for a few hours. We ate in the Lemongrass, which was a fabulous Asian restaurant and can thoroughly recommend it.

I booked a two night stay in the Osprey as part of a living social deal. On arrival, we couldn't have been greeted more pleasantly. We received afternoon tea as part of the package which included a glass of champagne. After staying in a hostel in Dublin the night before, this couldn't have been more in contrast!
The room was beautiful and finished to a very high standard. Both the shower and the roll top bath got their fair share of usage. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Our room also had a large balcony which was an added bonus.
We ate in the hotel on both nights, once in the bar and then in the restaurant. Both meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also of very good quality.
We used the leisure facilities and found them to be excellent. The thermal facilities were especially impressive. I also booked a swedish massage (at a reduced rate!) which was fantastic. The staff in the spa facilities were lovely and very helpful.
Even though I can't fault the hotel itself, the area that I was most impressed with was the attitude and helpfulness of the staff. They were so friendly and seemed to be intuitive towards any queries you may have had. The hotel was child friendly and although this did not apply to us, it was nice to see that children were accommodated for. The hotel also provides a kid's club.
Finding the hotel was exceptionally easy. A bus from Dublin to Naas is all that's needed and Naas town itself offered a wide range of places to eat and drink.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone, whether it be for a function or a getaway break.

The Osprey is a wonderful hotel will fantastic facilities. The room we were in was beautiful with a spacious bathroom that had both a big stand-alone bath and a large shower. We availed of the gym and spa which were both exactly what you would hope for.
The staff were a real highlight. Every one of the staff we met were professional, efficient and exceptionally friendly.

Also, the Bus Eireann bus goes from very near the hotel to Dublin which was very handy.
