Owner description: Located in Ashbourne, Co. Meath and just 30 minutes from Dublin is Ireland’s only theme park and zoo, Tayto Park. With over 100 attractions to experience and enjoy, there is something for everyone; young, old and in between. For the thrill seekers, the Cu Chulainn, Ireland’s first rollercoaster and Europe’s first wooden rollercoaster with an inversion, is sure to get your adrenaline flowing. But that’s not all, there are a huge variety of attractions, 100+ in total. Challenge yourself high in the sky on the Extreme Climbing Walls or Sky Walk, let the kids explore our Playground, Steam Train Express or our Mini Ferris Wheel or take the Tayto Factory Tour, free with entry, and find out the history behind Tayto. And for those who don’t need an increased heart rate to have a good time, enjoy a laid-back stroll through our zoo, where you can interact with the exceptional animal collection, from the mischievous meerkats to the largest of the big cats, the amur tiger.

For 2 adults and 4 kids 'twas €60 better value n better day out than the zoo in my opinion, just right amount of animals mixed with activities, only down turn would be the waiting time for the activities which wouldn't be too bad if the day was fine but it was very cold when we were there but the kids didn't seem to mind in fairness, food was very impressive. Free playgrounds but some activities were €2 each and €3 for one of them but kids loved it !

A great place for kids. A reasonable price and the extra amusements are only two euro per ride. My only fault of the place was that the queues were very long for the rides and they could have done with more staff on. However, it was very enjoyable. The prices were reasonable and its not a rip-off place. The food at the restaurant was priced reasonably in comparison to other places. It is much better than the zoo in my opinion.

Went with 3&4 year olds in March. No crowds, which was great, but staff told me that in peak season its regularly over an hours queueing time for a 2 min attraction, so avoid high summer!

Overpriced, considering many of the attractions inside like rockwall climbing, bungee trampoline, zip lining etc are all an extra €2 go.

Great playground, kept kids amused for ages, but only 1 bench for weary parents to sit on - about 20 more needed please Mr. Tayto.

Animals seemed really well cared for and content and enclosures were large and well maintained.

To save money, if I was going again, I'd bring a picnic. However, the food in the cafe was a real surprise. Was expecting a glorified burger bar, but there was a really nice coffee shop area with nice cake/pastries/cookies & treats, with a real barrista who actually knew how to make a proper coffee. The Food Counter had a great variety of sandwiches and salads and a nice carvery.

Lovely place that is growing all the time, a pricy place if going a couple of times. Annual membership is well priced and encourages a quick stopover more often. Staff are great and food is good also, animal place looks like its half way there but kids love play areas

Had a really fantastic day at tayto park on easter saturday...the food n the restaurant was amazing only €11 for full portion...the rides were perfect entertainment for my 10yr old boy (although €2 a pop after payin €12 pp admission is a bit much) the petting farm was better than dublin zoo u actually got to see animals move around even leopards and a lion....the playground is huge..free facepainting balloons an tattoos was great for younger kids...will definatly go back in summero just hope people who run the place dont get too greedy and ruin a great place :-)
