My husband and I stayed in this hotel recently when we were attending a wedding in nearby Slane. The location and price were both very good.

There were a group of us checking in together but only one person on reception so we did find check in to be very slow. Also the receptionist had no cash available so each time someone tried to pay for their stay in cash, she had to go to the bar. When it came to our turn to check in, the receptionist couldn't get any of the room keys to work so we only had one to share between. This wasn't a huge problem, but it's nice to have a spare.

The room was large and clean, beds were very comfortable. Walls seemed to be quite thin as I could hear the man next door snoring all night! When we returned from the wedding all doors to the hotel were locked but luckily we were only waiting 5 minutes for someone to appear and unlock the doors. We didn't have breakfast the next morning but it smelt very good.

Overall, i was impressed with the hotel for it's good value, but if I was visiting Ashbourne again I might try one of the neighbouring hotels.

Just returned from a two night stay at this hotel. Rooms were very spacious, and looked to have been fairly recently decorated. Beds were very comfortable. There were no doors on the wardrobes or drawers on the bedside units, very strange?? We had bar food on the first night which was very good. On the second night the hotel was very busy with two birthday parties going on. We were awakened at 4.00am by very loud and very bad singing from party revellers who were obviously staying the night. This went on for about 45 minutes before a member of staff went to speak with them. I appreciate that there isn't a lot the hotel can do, especially when they are very drunk. However, it seemed to do the trick and we all got back to sleep. In conclusion, its a nice hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful and I would stay there again.

I have being staying here for the last few months due to work.the food is good here and the staff are v friendly, they have made my stay here alot easier . it's very clean and your only about 20-25 mins from the city center.

Arrived with out a booking for the loft restaurant. Not a problem to the staff seated us with menu's while they prepare a table. Phildelma looked after us with such professiona approace. Very busy there but not a problem. Lovely to see staff chatting to customers and letting them know about local attractions. Our food was divine well presented well served. The manager in the dining room runs a thight ship making sure all customers are cared and looked after. Must have been 60 people there but all seems to have had personal attention. That's what makes a good reasturant. Attention to detail and customers. Thanks to Phildelma and her team for looking after us so well. Next time we are up it will b one of our stops

Had dinner here , food was very good roast beef was excellent , staff very friendly , hote on the grubby side could do with a big clean up otherwise very good, it was bank holiday weekend not many about the dining area could do with a clean up floors was quite grubby as was toilets
