Wonderful hotel, Staff were so helpful and service in the resturant was excellent.
Rooms were comfortable, spotless and bed was very comfy, good sized rooms didnt feel cramped or stuffy
Spa facilities were great
Food was amazing best meal in ages, even though they had earlier in the day catered for a wedding party of 300+

Room Tip: all rooms are excellent

Just spent a lovely weekend in Radisson Blu Sligo. Had a lovely spacious Business Class Room. Enjoyed a very tasty meal in the bar on the first evening. Breakfast was the usual super buffet that Radison is famous for. Dinner was excellent with all food delicious and tastefully presented. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. Look forward to staying there again.

Room Tip: Go for a Business class room for the extra space.

Our stay was part of a coach tour with 33 Australians and us 2 Brits. The large hotel overlooks the estuary from the front. Our room (128) was on the ground floor with views over a court yard. Our room had a large double bed with sparkling white duvets and a soft to firm mattress. The bathroom was large with marbled walls and a big shower over the bath fitted with a glass splash screen. Soap bars were provided. The curtains in the room were heavy so kept out a lot of the late day light and early morning sun rise. Our dinner was buffet style and plentiful. Breakfast was also buffet style with standard fare and plenty of it. A very nice hotel but as we were part of a tour, I have no ide as to whether it is value for money.

All over Ireland we have stayed at Radisson Blu hotels. This one had a nice pool area and had huge rooms, but there were several things that made it a "no" for me, and I was glad we only stayed one night.
1. There was hair on the floor in the bathroom and on the bed...that didn't belong to us
2. They were painting the hallways when we arrived and our rooms were in the hall with the wet paint. That's awesome with a two year old, not to mention the smell and lack of ability to walk down the hallway. Why they didn't put us on another floor during the work is beyond me- it wasn't that busy that day.
3. The breakfast overall was fine but the scrambled eggs were horrible. I mean horrible.
4. The shower has a quarter glass door that is worthless. After my shower the water was all over the floor and we had to use all the extra towels to clean it up. It's the stupidest design ever.
5. This hotel is not near anything. Unless you golf. There is no food unless you drive and Sligo is about 10 minutes away.

After a long drive from Limmerick to Sligo you would expect a nice venue to relax at instead we rolled into a wedding reception that was conducted in the main foyer, it took us 10 minutes to get a left and then before dinner it took us 20 minutes to get a drink people just stood at the bar and wouldnt move on. The Hotel is very popular for weddings so if you are looking for a quite night dont stay here on Friday to Sunday the noise in our room from drunks staying there after the wedding was unbearable. Dont get us wrong the hospitality was great, the food was awesome, but the hotel is in need of an upgrade and they need to give it a good clean and refurbishment, there was mould everywhere in the bathroom and there was no organisation in the foyer for guests arriving, buy the way there is NO ATM at the Hotel and its a Taxi ride into town at a cost of 20 euro one way.

Room Tip: Dont get a room above the function centre or reception, very noisy

We only had one night here as opposed to four last year. A golf package at Rosses Point with dinner, bed and breakfast. It was exceptionally good value. The room was smaller than last year's and had no view but for one night that was fine. The gym was adequate for me and he enjoyed the pool and sauna. The food was hearty with a varied selection and of good quality both for breakfast and dinner. Nice touch..walkers shortbread with your tea /coffee maker in room. It's centrally located but a taxi ride to Sligo town if you are planning on drinking in there at night. The staff were friendly and it was nice to see a few familiar faces from last year. If I had to be critical....no face cloths, staff a little rough (as in lacking grace), in restaurant, two single beds stuck together to make a king. We did not visit the spa this year and I tried to untick the box below which I hit in error. All in all we will go back the golf being the major attraction for us.

Room Tip: If you are there for a few days ask for a view either of Ben Bulben or the bay. Both are pretty spec...

On driving up to the hotel thought it looked rather ugly. The hotel itself is average, bit run down, room i stayed in was pretty basic but it did the job for what we were after. We stayed here for a family gathering which worked well as we had a mid-week offer which worked out great value. We had bar food as part of the deal which was ok but again did the job. We took over one of the lounges which was really comfortable and spent an afternoon and evening in basically the same spot. Breakfast the next morning was ok but there was a severe lack of staff so we had to wait quite a while for tea/coffees etc. It was the same in the bar in the evening, although it was mid-week and fairly quiet, there was only one guy serving at the bar which meant a bit of a wait for drinks.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front as the rooms at the back don't have much of a view. The hotel is set...
