“Very Dissappointed Again”
Reviewed 9 July 2013

I love this hotel and stay here If I can when this way with work.
Third time in a row that I havn't been able to get any treatments in the Spa though. I keep being told to book in advance, but I am here with work and have to try and fit around meetings. This time I arrived and then phoned before making my meetings solid, still nothing. I am pleased that the Spa does so well, it is great, but hard on residents If you can't use it.

Room Tip: If you want to use the Spa, make sure you book well in advance !!!!!

Stayed here as a birthday treat and from the minute we walked in until we left we were impressed. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, spacious. Check in was quick and efficient. Every member of staff we met were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, two single beds pulled together to make a double which I thought might be an issue but really wasn't. It was so comfortable. I loved that we could control the heating and there was a constant supply of hot water. Little things like having an ice machine on each floor and a bucket for ice in each room! Free WiFi was easy to connect to and quick. We had lunch in the bar which was gorgeous as was our dinner in the evening. Pea and ham terrine was gorgeous and so was the veal Wellington. Loved the make your own garlic butter idea..half a roasted garlic bulb and regular butter. Very innovative. Also the Scarlett o hara cocktail, recommended by the bar man, was delicious! It's about a ten minute drive to Sligo, pretty easy to find. Can't really fault it!

A 2 night break in June was just what the Doctor order after a chaotic wknd away with a large family group so we continued our trek west to the gorgeous Sligo where I lived for 4 years.

You're greeted by a beautiful clean lobby and friendly staff who booked us in for our meal immediately. Nice rooms, beds are like sleeping on tiny slices of heaven! TVs in the room are pretty dated and the remote didn't really work (239). We ate lunch in the bar and dinner in the restaurant. Faultless. Absolutely great meals. Breakfast was good too with a broad selection. The pool area is lovely and clean with nice steam room and sauna.

Only criticism - wifi was too slow to be of any use, even in the lobby. This is our first time staying here but ill certainly go back.

Room Tip: Ours was at the back and very quiet.

First impressions, a little hard to find but nice location with a brilliant view from the front, perhaps a little out of the way if you wanted to go out in the evening but ideal for a business traveller!

Rooms perhaps a little dated with a CRT television however internet is free with in room ironing board/trouser press and mini fridge (un stocked however but can be stocked on request) Good sized bathroom and air conditioned rooms

Breakfast included in room rate was a full buffet which is nice to see, and a good on site restauraunt and bar

Pool requires a swimhat, however seemed a reasonable size

Wonderful hotel, Staff were so helpful and service in the resturant was excellent.
Rooms were comfortable, spotless and bed was very comfy, good sized rooms didnt feel cramped or stuffy
Spa facilities were great
Food was amazing best meal in ages, even though they had earlier in the day catered for a wedding party of 300+

Just spent a lovely weekend in Radisson Blu Sligo. Had a lovely spacious Business Class Room. Enjoyed a very tasty meal in the bar on the first evening. Breakfast was the usual super buffet that Radison is famous for. Dinner was excellent with all food delicious and tastefully presented. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. Look forward to staying there again.

Room Tip: Go for a Business class room for the extra space.

Our stay was part of a coach tour with 33 Australians and us 2 Brits. The large hotel overlooks the estuary from the front. Our room (128) was on the ground floor with views over a court yard. Our room had a large double bed with sparkling white duvets and a soft to firm mattress. The bathroom was large with marbled walls and a big shower over the bath fitted with a glass splash screen. Soap bars were provided. The curtains in the room were heavy so kept out a lot of the late day light and early morning sun rise. Our dinner was buffet style and plentiful. Breakfast was also buffet style with standard fare and plenty of it. A very nice hotel but as we were part of a tour, I have no ide as to whether it is value for money.
