“Conference for work”
Reviewed 31 January 2014

We arrived on Wednesday night and the service was ok, the room was very comfortable however couldn't leave the window open overnight, i am a bit of a fresh air freak. service in the buffet breakfast was average, nothing to write home about, followed by a busy day at the conference.
Dinner was a very special event have to say, as we were on the top table we got served first on all courses, which was great. However as a few of my colleagues weren't they had to wait for at least half an hour for their courses after we had ours, must do better the radisson. Overall the quality of the food was acceptable and we then returned to the bar. which was to be fair a very busy affair. it was 00:15 and we asked for another round of drinks and we were told in no uncertain terms that we were not getting another drink even if we were residents, a little harsh we thought, if we were falling around the place i would totally agree however we were all discussing business and not drinking all night as we all had to drive on Friday. Have to say the bar man was very rude to a number of individuals who were asking for last drinks.

Stayed here for 2nights recently as it came highly recommended. Service terrible in dining room, the bedrooms were very tired and reception staff very matter of fact and unpleasant . No ambience and the reception area and adjoining "lounging areas" lack focus and atmosphere. Found the housekeeping lacking as found personal items under the pushed together beds under an inch of dust. Only saving grace was the Spa where the staff were pleasant and helpful. Seriously overrated and not up to standard

Stayed here for 2 nights over new year. Check in was quick. There was a wedding in the hotel and all the people were gathered in the reception and bar area when we arrived. We went to the bar for something to eat, the service was not good and the food not much better, they seemed to be understaffed and more concerned about the wedding crew than their residents, nearly 2 hours from we sat down until we finished . We were put at a table in a corner and left there and after 15 minutes we had to go and ask waitress to take an order for a second time. When the food come it was just passable nothing special so we did not eat there on our second night.
We paid the extra few euro for a business class room. The rooms were a good size and very clean with mini bar, safe, sofa, robes and slippers etc. Two single beds pushed together to form a double bed were very uncomfortable.
The wedding music could be heard in our room until 2 in the morning and we were on the third floor. I would recommend anybody staying to check if there is any functions on and if so request a room well away from the function room
We used the swimming pool and gym and it had everything we needed and was very clean.
The hotel itself is very clean and tidy and is a good base for anyone touring Sligo. It is a good 5 minute drive out of the town just not ideal for walking into town
The breakfast was first class as good as you could get anywhere with a great choice for everyone.
Would stay here again but would look for a room well away from ballroom

Long story short!
2 night stay! Seriously needs a make over! Two single beds pushed together to make a double bed, seriously uncomfortable, woke up with my back in bits. Bar food beautiful but selection very poor. Waiting 20 minutes both mornings to be seated for breakfast. Thankfully the quality of the breakfast made up for it. Very impressed with pool area, very modern and up to date. Though gym poorly kitted out, only two treadmills.
Overall compared to Raddison hotels in the cities and Athlone, it is very poor and defiantly does not live up to the brand name Raddison.

This Radisson hotel has a good location near Rosses Point, outside Sligo. We had a two-night stay here with the Redeeming Times offer from the Irish Times. The offer included two nights bed and breakfast, afternoon tea, spa treatment and two-course dinner with wine. At €280 we found this excellent value. The afternoon tea was spectacular, scones, sandwiches, pastries and cakes with tea and coffee, so much food that we couldn't finish it. The dinner with a free bottle of French Merlot was of a very high standard, only the vegetables were slightly disappointing. The spa treatment was excellent, good friendly capable staff. The room was large, bathroom excellent, free wifi worked perfectly. The staff were pleasant and competent. The breakfast was extensive and varied, very good porridge made with milk and cream apparently. We had a free newspaper with breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel for a getaway, good location, good walks nearby, plenty of golf, surfing and swimming when the weather is suitable.

We stayed recently in the Radisson in Sligo and we had a very good experience. The hotel is located in a scenic location with lovely views over Sligo Bay. The facilities are very good, the leisure complex a real bonus. I would like to give a particular mention to the restaurant. The food was truly excellent and exquisite. Last, a word about the staff - even during the most pressurised periods at breakfast the staff were exceptionally helpful, courteous and friendly. Compliments to all.

Room Tip: Rooms with sea view are a real bonus - lovely views!

My wife and I stayed here from 22-24 Jan 2014. We found all of the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is nicely decorated and spotless. Our room was great and we had a view of Sligo Bay, it was also well equipped and nicely presented. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first night and in the bar on the second night and on both occasions the food was excellent as was the service and reasonably priced too. We made use of the complimentary swimming pool, sauna, steam-room and Jacuzzi both mornings before returning to the restaurant for the fantastic buffet breakfast. I would love to return to stay here again.

Room Tip: Our room was close to the elevator and the Ice machine.
