“top quality B&B 5* quality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2011

On my motor bike runs round Ireland I discovered yet another top quality B&B, Ultra clean and tidy, the rooms are top notch, very comfortable beds, the breakfasts are fantastic and plenty of it. Peaceful and quiet the house its self is set in beautiful high maintained gardens. plenty of parking very safe for motorbikes with being set well back of the main rd and bikes can be tucked away round the rear of the building. 5 to 7 mins walk into the town and views to die for, the local pubs one of which is called (Goosers ) do excellent grub and the view when sitting out side are spectacular. The small bridge links Ballina to Killaloe and it is a very enjoyable walk in and out to the town. Also visit Mollies pub on a sunday ngt 6 to 8 for the live music. I have been back again and hope to return in 2012, I also have recommended it to other folk by word of mouth and on their return they agreed it was a top quality B&B more hotel than B&B standard. Anyone who has read any of my trip advisor tips will know I am wild fussy and the Carramore lodge ticks all of the boxes and more. thank you Eileen

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights this summer and had an excellent time. The rooms were extremely clean and well-appointed with extra touches like a good hairdryer, biscuits, and a jug of water which really made a difference. The owners were so lovely and provided us with information on bike and boat hire, and even did additional research for a telephone number in Mountshannon. Breakfast was delicious with a wide array of choices and some of the best soda bread I've ever had- I even got the recipe! It's only a 7 minute walk into town and the room contained a list of local restaurants and pubs. There are also lovely landscaped gardens behind the house which we unfortunately didn't have time to fully enjoy. The only two drawbacks were that breakfast ended at 9:30 (though this helped us get an earlier start and make the most of our time there) and our room was on the ground floor where we could sometimes hear people coming in and out. However, these were only minor things and Carramore is an excellent value. We appreciated the attention that was given to providing guests with such a comfortable stay and we will certainly be back!

We visited Carramore lodge for two nights in July 2010. The B&B is a ten minute walk from the center of Killaloe, with a very nice garden. It is facing the main road through Killaloe, but it did not disturb our sleep (our room faced the street). The proprietor was very helpful and friendly, the breakfast very good and the rooms tidy. Our room had a shower which seemed to spit needles instead of water, but otherwise the B&B was great. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the Carramore lodge with 2 small children for 1 night. It was a long time ago I stayed in a B&B last time and I couldn't believe the high quality of the place. The garden is beautiful and very big that our kids loved exploring and running around in the evening. Our family room is huge, nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of choices. I loved the fresh rasberries from the garden and the home baked brown bread was absolutely delicious! The owners were welcoming and very helpful. They have even provided our hungry child toasts, yogurt and fruits at night. We will definitely go back there in our next visit to Killaloe/Ballina!

Carramore Lodge is one of the best B&Bs in which I stayed so far. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. A choice of delicious breakfast specialities is served in the morning. We had breakfast in the winter garden with a magnificent view in the beautiful garden surrounding the house. The location of the B&B is quiet, but close to the town and pubs. The owner is friendly and helpful.

My husband and I stayed there overnight as we were attending a wedding nearby at a local hotel. Our room was spacious and spotless and overlooked a very well maintained garden. It was as comfortable if not better than some hotels we've stayed in for a fraction of the price.
Unfortunateiy we missed breakfast but not without the upmost effort of the lady of the house to wake us (wedding carried on through the early hours and us with it). We were assured it was of the highest quality by our fellow guests.
When we checked out our host insisted on driving us back to the hotel to collect our car and wouldn't hear of us calling a taxi. On the drive there we were advised on the best places to eat and how best to spend the rest of our time.
We highly recommend a stay here. You wont be disappointed the owners are the hosts with the most...friendly ,they genuinely love what they do and go that bit extra for your comfort because it matters to them. (J&C Wilmot, Co. Lmk, Irl)
