“Great for Families”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

This hotel has worked really hard on improving its offering and making itself family friendly. My first visit a few years ago wasn't great but I gave it a second try and I was so glad that I did. I went with my husband and two small boys. They have a great kids club and playroom, great outdoor activities (with a really helpful supervisor looking after the kids) and a pool. This along with good food in the restaurant (that is also family friendly) its a really good hotel for that family weekend break. I love Kellys in Rosslare and in the currently climate this hotel is a really good second at a fraction of the cost. Keep up the good work Amber Springs - we will definately be back.

Room Tip: All the rooms are a decent size if you go for a family room

I could not recommend this hotel highly enough. From the efficiency of check in to checking out. It is a great place for families to couples. Evening meal included in the price was beautiful. Bed rooms clean and comfortable. Breakfast what a wide range of choice. I will definitely return to this hotel and would recommend that you do to.

Room Tip: My father who is 86 years of age and he stayed in the invalid room and found this excellent. He tho...

Fabulous from start to finish :-) Very kindly upgraded my parents room when they found out we were coming for their 60th birthdays. Had our rooms ready early for us to decorate their room. The meal included in our package was superb, 8 of us for dinner, we all got different things and everything was really good, it included fillet steak with no extra supplement and the hotel even arranged an amazing birthday cake instead of our desert, which the waiters brought out singing to my very surprised parents! Our 3 year old had the best time ever. The whole hotel is specifically aimed around keeping children amused morning, noon and night and everywhere is very secure, which gives great peace of mind for those with toddlers, there was no need to leave the grounds for the whole weekend. The staff and service they gave us was just fantastic too, they couldn't do enough for us and didn't feel like it was fake like a lot of places!! Before we'd even checked out we made another reservation for December. This is not a hotel for couples looking for a quiet romantic spot, but there's heaps of them in Ireland, there are very few child friendly spots of this quality.

We stayed here midweek with our two young children one aged 2 and the other 8 months the hotel is great for kids loads to do to fill the day, the pool is very good and child friendly and the outside play area is also very good our eldest cried every time we went back to the room in fear of missing something. The food was also good in the bar and a great selection for breakfast.

We had a couple of problems we got a fridge put in the room for the kids milk and juice but it did not work it just blew out hot air and the only other problem was the price in the bar 2.90 for a soft drink in a child friendly hotel and 5.10 for a pint of lager but the worst of all was 6.30 for an alchopop which the wife is fond of i know its a hotel and they charge more but its in Gorey not Dublin city center all in all we can get over that and would return because the kids enjoyed it so much.

Stayed for 3 nights recently with wife 3 kids two sets grandparents. First the good; very child friendly close yo shopping centre and dominos lol. Staff used to kids so no need to feel embarrassed about one of them throwing a wobbler. Great play area inside and out to keep them entertained.food in restaurant excellent, breakfast standard buffet, bar food very good. Bad points. Play area need a lick of paint and a good tidy. Overall great for families big rooms.
