We stayed at the Glenview for 2 nights to celebrate a family wedding & my partners birthday. When booking I asked could we have a room with a nice view which was not a problem. I received an email shortly afterwards to say that we had been upgraded to an executive room at no extra charge! The room & view were fantastic. Quite, beautiful location especially for a wedding. Staff very helpful, leisure centre great & top class food. What more could you ask for? Well maybe a climb up the Sugarloaf Mountain which is just behind the hotel. Spectacular! We cannot wait to go back.

We stayed here for one night, after getting a great last minute deal. Very easy to reach by car, right on the N11 and well sign-posted. Lovely views and nice walks in the grounds, no noise from the nearby road. Convenient for lots of the nearby sights like Powerscourt, etc.

Hotel was lovely, all the staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. We ate in the restaurant, which had a 3-course meal offer for €30, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Leisure centre was great; its used by local members as well so it can sometimes be a little crowded but the outdoor hot tub was fantastic! Great hotel and a really relaxing mini-break, definitely recommend it.

As the name suggests, the hotel certainly gives you a view of the Glen (the Glen Of the Downs to be precise), with the view only spoiled by some electricity pylons and a mobile phone mast. The hotel is on a hill overlooking (but is thankfully not TOO close to) the main N11 Dublin-Wexford road, which, and is well signposted.

Our room was compact and "split level", with the door & bathroom two steps above the rest of the room. An easy thing to forget when you crawl out of bed in the middle of the night for a visit to the bathroom! We didn't specifically ask for a non-smoking room, and there wasn't any indication on the room if it was smoking or non-smoking, though there was a noticeable smell of stale tobacco on entering the room. The bathroom was fine, but didn't seem to have an extractor fan.

The rooms were fairly well equipped, with tv, ironing board & iron, safe and also wireless internet AT NO EXTRA CHARGE (other more expensive hotels, please take note!)

The dining room is probably the most attractively designed room in the hotel, with a rather minimal style in contrast to some slightly dated and gaudy over-decoration in other parts of the hotel. The dining room gives a nice view over the Glen while you are eating your breakfast of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, breads, sausage/bacon/egg/etc.

We ate dinner one night in the bar, which serves a decent menu for informal dining, and one night in the restaurant. The restaurant food was visually well presented, but otherwise a little hit and miss. A three-course dinner on a Saturday night was €30, which offered decent value.

The staff (a typical cosmopolitan mix) were generally very attentive and friendly.

The Leisure Centre pool seemed busier than the hotel. It has private members using it, as well as hotel guests. There was one lane closed off for swimming lengths (one person at a time, max 20 minutes at peak times). There was also an indoor and an outdoor jacuzzi/hot tub, both for over 16s only. The pool opened at 8am on weekends, with children not allowed in until 9am (which may disappoint parents with hyperactive children who need something to do early in the morning!)

We visited this hotel for a romantic weekend in order to relax and spend some quality time together. We live not so far but we still felt like on a break far far away :) We booked two night B&B + 1 dinner and it was good value for money. The room was a bit outdated but we really enjoyed the breakfasts, our dinner was delicious - choose the steak! and the best of all - the leisure centre with a luxurious canadian outdoor tub! Because of the time of the year it wasn't too busy and we could enjoy the tub on our own every time. We also enjoyed the food in the bar. We recommend this hotel for couples getaway, we had a fabulous time and plenty to keep us entertained. Also try the spa treatments, I got a fantastic massage there.
