We stayed here for 2 nights , 21st & 22nd June 2014. It is an amazing place. Zel and Liam are a lovely couple running a fantastic bed and breakfast. The location is fantastic ,right next to the little stream at the foot of the Wicklow Gap.A short walk over the stones down to Glendaloch. The Wicklow Heather restaurant is a must , with the free taxi service from the B and B is a nice touch. The bedrooms at Riversdale House are lovely and clean , great facility's and comfy beds. The breakfast is great with a great choice and a view from the conservatory to enjoy too. Free wi-fi with good speeds. The best compliment I could pay Liam and Zel is that we've been here before and it hasn't changed , same fantastic service. We will be back, why fix it if it isn't broke.Keep up the great work, best of luck with your business. Don't hesitate to book here people, walkers , dreamers or lovers , it's a great place

We stayed two wonderful nights in this charming house. We were hiking the Beara Way and this was like an oasis. The rooms were large and clean. The dining area had wonderful view to enjoy the fantastic breakfast. They even had vegetarian sausages! A short walk to village along the river was an added bonus. Liam and Zell went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. They also arranged transportation to a local restaurant. We would love to return to explore more of the area.

Room Tip: We had a large upstairs room at the end of hall. Great view.

We stayed in the cottage in May 2014 and were totally enthralled with the place - everything we could ever need or want - beds were comfortable, rooms were large, kitchen area had sink, stove, frig, washer...we took walk across river to enjoy beautiful views and next morning enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Enjoyed playing with the pup and the cat. We definitely would recommend this place to anyone!

After a hard first day of Ireland driving, my husband and I were filled with a comedic relief when we pulled up to this gorgeous place. Welcoming us was a super cute pup & sweet cat, named Tes & Jes.
Zell greeted us warmly and showed us to our room, and told us of nearby restaurants for dinner. We walked a calming nice walk to the Glendalough hotel for dinner, which was delicious. Most of all we really enjoyed the tranquil surroundings of Riversdale House. We sadly were only here one night, but easily could have stayed much longer. The room and en suite bathroom were a nice size, and very clean. The breakfast was delicious too :) My husband and I both highly recommend you choose Riversdale for your visit to Glendalough. This was definitely one of our favorite stops during our trip, and if we had the foresight, we would have given Glendalough at least 2 days.
As we were leaving the next day, Zell went over the directions we had for our drive to Kilkenny, and gave us tips to make sure we got there easily.
Thank you Zell! We really hope we can make it back one day!

We arrived at Riversdale later than we expected after taking in the many sights on our way into Glendalough. The pictures of the place on line were accurately showing this beautiful home with the view of the river and mountains right outside our window. What a lovely location. The ability to walk right out the door to do some hiking was great.

We especially appreciated the ride to the restaurant from the folks at The Wicklow Heather. Liam was kind enough to recommend the experience, which I had previously read about on the prior reviews. We were not disappointed at all. The driver was friendly and fun.

Unfortunately, we didn't see Liam but once when we first got there. I'm not sure if we ever met Zell, because there was no introduction or friendly conversation after check in and we felt like we had to seek out someone in order to pay our bill for staying there.

It is a very quiet place and we loved the sheep on the hillside out back and the incredible view.

Our only regret was that we only had the one night at this beautiful b&b! We will definitely be returning, and for longer next time!

Liam and Zell were unbelievably friendly and hospitable, and they most certainly take really good care of their gorgeous b&b; it is so clean & immaculate and we were so lucky with a beautiful view from our bedroom window overlooking the creek followed by another great view from the terrace whilst eating our yummy breakfast :)

If you like walking and exploring the location is perfect with some lovely walking areas on the doorstep!

We went to the Heather Wicklow Restaurant where they ran a free shuttle transfer to pick us up from Riversdale and it was a little on the pricey side but absolutely delicious and you can't complain when they've picked you up and dropped you off!!!

Overall, a beautiful b&b in a wonderful location and run by very friendly, lovely people.

We will be back :)
