My wife and I and our children visited knock last Sunday and we were recommended to eat at cafe le chéile by a friend of ours. To be honest we were not expecting gourmet food as we had never heard any good reports on anywhere in knock but boy were we impressed. What a wonderful bright airy clean restaurant. We were seated by a lovely young waitress and given menus and told what the specials of the day were. I had seafood chowder and it was the best I have eaten . The brown bread was fresh and delicious . My wife had the Cajun prawn salad which had big fat juicy prawns tossed in a hot spicy dressing. It was beautiful. The children had a half portion of very tasty roast lamb and a warm salad of chicken and bacon. To say the food was top class is an understatement. We eat out a lot and will be back to cafe le chéile again. Well done to the chef and what a lovely bunch of front of house staff.
