“Our second visit. Would like to return again sometime.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 July 2011

The service, the staff, the food, the location, all met our criteria.
Have recommemded the Beausite to our friends and neighbours.
Had a super holiday.
The only moan, was that Southern Hotels did not pass on the Flight booking number until I emailed them a couple of days before departure.

This lovely hotel is situated in the semi rural area of Grouville, only a few miles from the beautiful harbour and resplendant Gorey castle with all their lovely restaurants.

You will find a bus stop within 150 yards from the hotel for trips to St. Hellier and beyond all with easy access.

The hotel is exceptionally clean, welcoming and friendly, the decor throughout is lovely ,and the hotel generally well cared for. Our ground floor patio room, next to our friends, was a very good size, lots of storage. hospitality tray. but unfortunately no drinking water,
a good sized and extremely clean bathroom with all facilities too.

We booked half-board throghout our stay and were extremely pleased with the food and service. the breakfast buffet was very good, serving,
A selection of cereals, various juices, youghurts, grapefruit segments, prunes, pastries,
ham and cheese slices and croissants etc.
A full breakfast was waiter service with other options available, beans on toast, poached eggs, boiled eggs with soldiers etc., Lots of tea and hot coffee provided with ample toast as required, lovely butter, and quality preserves too..

Dinner was a delight, lovely original starters, soup course to follow, a choice of imaginative main courses with local vegatbles followed by a well stocked dessert trolley or an ample alternative for cheese and biscuits.

Your holiday will be enhanced by their lovely garden ares, tables, chairs and sun loungers, a lovely indoor heated swimming pool and small adjacent gym.

Enjoy a drink in their lovely quaint bar with local entertainment available on some evenings for your enjoyment.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to our next trip in August 2011.

We stayed at one of the 6 apartments attatched to this hotel. The apartments have full use of the hotel facilities, including a great pool and hot tub. The staff were brilliant, attentive and friendly. We had gone to Jersey to get married, and on the morning of the wedding the manager had sent a bottle of fizz to our apartment. The apartment was the smallest of the 6, ideal for a couple, compact and cleaned to high standards. You could choose to have a room clean and service every day if needed. The smoke alarms were a problem and we unplugged the one in the kitchen/lounge in the end as it went of at every meal time.We did not eat in the Hotel but the daily menu was very interesting, and 5 courses for less than £18. Generally the clientelle were mature holiday makes, but the apartments were more suitable for families. The pool seemed underused, though not a complaint as we often had it to our selves. Information about the hotel facilities and local area would have been a usefull addition to the apartment. In all fairness it would be rather "nit picky" to find fault with this place. We would , without doubt, return if we ever go back to Jersey. The apartments were over 3 floor, and the top two, the smallest, were up a good few stairs, quite a hike and not suitable for people with mobility problems. We stayed in Orguil. The bed was king size and exeptionally comfortable. A nice place to eat just down the road, The Seymour, does pub grub type meals for a good price but booking is essential.
A lovely place which addedd to our overall romantic stay!

Stayed with wife and two kids (4&11) . Hotel clean with friendly staff. Room overlooked rear car park, which was not a great vista and a little noisy occasionally, but didn't spoil stay Room was clean but needed updating especially the bathroom. Pool and gardens pleasant
and overall the quality and feel of the hotel is very good. The star though is the quality of the food . There wasn't one night where it was below a good standard. One bottle of wine I sent back for being corked was exchanged without fuss. Recommend booking half -board. Breakfast good, buffet with the usual suspects. We all enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a B+B basis but we took dinner in the restaurant every night- 5 courses for £16.95. The food was of a high standard and very enjoyable, well worth booking dinner in advance had we known how good it was going to be. On the minus side the car park was cramped and the entrance was very narrow and tricky. The hotel was beginning to show its age and although they had a nice indoor swimming pool we didn't see anyone using it and there didn't appear to be any obvious changing facilities.

Staff were helpful and friendly on the whole and the service in the dining room was prompt. Unfortunately there was very little to do in the evening. Would recommend for a short break.

The fourth visit and the family just love it. Ideal location, great food and excellent value for money. A fifth visit is being planned for 2011.

We stayed in one of the apartments as a group of four adults and one baby. The apartment was clean, comfortable, relatively spacious and had all the facilities we needed. The allocated parking for the apartments was essential as the hotels main car park is always full. The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool and garden excellent. We also used the restaurant on occasion and found it to be good value with reasonable food - if a little dated in presentation. Reception very helpful - but the apartments seem to be missing any information about the hotel and facilities.
There were a couple of major problems:
Couldn't really cook any food without setting off the heat/smoke alarm as it is too close to kitchen, too sensitive and the oven needs a serious clean. Even with fan on and all windows wide open. Staff are well aware of this and it seems as though the situation has been like this for a long time. We resorted to covering the sensor with a nappy bag!
Secondly, the socket in the kitchen is barely 6 inches from the kitchen sink and has a kettle plugged in with a 2 foot trailing lead. This is extremely dangerous.
