We recently enjoyed a lazy, late lunch on the alfresco terrace overlooking the beautiful harbour of St Aubin. A real sun trap when it’s warm and packed with like-minded locals and tourists enjoying the view and ambiance.
The waiters were attentive and served us promptly. We opted for the chicken burger with a side order of onion rings and a couple of pear ciders. We were very impressed by the chicken burgers, lovely succulent chicken fillets used, tasty bun and non-greasy chips. The onion rings were huge and made using a light tempura batter, one criticism if anything; they were a little too greasy for my liking but that’s my personal preference so don’t be put off, try them for yourself.
We had a slight hiccup when we came to pay the bill, we had been charged for two portions of onion rings not one as ordered but after pointing this out to our waiter, he quickly realized the error and got it deducted immediately without any argument. That saved a really lovely experience from being spoilt at the end.
