Just had amazing and relaxing stay as an early Christmas treat. Impeccable service and great food and the room was perfect. Special commendation to Pedro in the Grill and for the bloody marys... Thanks for arranging the storm for us to look at!

Stayed at the hotel for a week in early July as a family of four. We decided to stay on a B&B basis as we wanted the option of eating at the local restaurants - there are lots of places to eat along the beach. Breakfast at the hotel was good and lots of choice - ordering tea and coffee for the table could be a bit hit and miss but quickly rectified when we asked for drinks.
The best thing about the stay was the staff who were brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. We asked for some more Nespresso capsules for our room and they were already put in the room before we'd even got back ourselves. We had to move room during our stay and the staff made this as painless as possible. The service was five star - we stay at The Grove quite regularly (where the England football team stay) and L'Horizon was in a different league for customer service.
Lots of little touches that made our stay so enjoyable - from a daily sheet in the room with local events and tomorrow's weather, to magazines in the rooms, to beach towels and free loungers on the beach - everything had been thought of.
If I had to be really picky, my only small gripe was that we arrived at 8.30 in the morning on our first day and couldn't check in until mid afternoon. I also had a massage which was good but a bit marred by the fact that it's quite open plan to the pool so a bit noisy (and it transpired the noise coming from the pool area was being made by my own children...).
Overall we had a fantastic stay - the beach rivals the lovely beaches in the Caribbean (though sadly not on warmness). We had a thoroughly relaxing stay and would love to come and stay again.
One tip - we couldn't find a cash machine locally so had to take the bus up the hill to the Waitrose.

Recently attended a function which involved an overnight stay and full use of the facilities -
Everything was very good - all the staff were very nice, the bedroom and bathroom were spotless and the bed was really comfortable.
The evening meal was delicious and the breakfast the next morning had plenty of choice.
The views are great - especially whilst sitting in the indoor jaccuzzi.

Hi

Thank you for the review, I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay. The view from the Jacuzzi are great, I have often tried to write these replies whilst sitting in it but the bubbles get in the way.

Thank you once again and as you are local we hope to see you again soon.

Regards

Martin

We've stayed at the Hotel Club & Spa in St Helier and the Atlantic when visiting Jersey over the past few years, and both are excellent. However, our last visit in March was to L'Horizon Hotel and it was so lovely we are making a return visit for four days from next Thursday. We had a deluxe double room with a terrace overlooking St Brelade's Bay and as this beach is our favourite place on the whole island, we couldn't have been happier. The room was warm and comfortable, the bathroom spacious, breakfast was plentiful with a great choice and it's lovely to watch the waves while eating your toast! All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit!

L'Horizon, situated on lovely St Brelades Bay, is a fine example of 'Hand Picked Hotel's' collection of individually styled properties. This was the fourth hotel in the group that we as a family have stayed at and they are all consistent in their assorted offerings. l'Horizon, as with the other properties, is calm, precise and spotless in all aspects. Crisp, friendly service and an all round attention to detail. Late November would normally be the time to let standards drop, but not here. Our evening meal in The Grill was excellent and served politely but without fuss. The Spa and Pool were immaculately clean, as were our rooms. If you add the sunrise over the bay on a slate grey November morning to the warmth on view inside the l'Horizon, then there is not a great deal that you would want to change.

Room Tip: With L'Horizon being virtually 'on the beach', it would be a shame to have a room that l...

We stayed here for 6 nights, what a great place to stay, the location is great we had a room overlooking the beach, the rooms are nicely laid out and comfortable, the staff were excellent and very helpful and very polite, we had their tenner fest meal in the bar on our first day, excellent value for money and a fabulous meal, we tried the Gril another night and the food was fantastic and well presented, The atmosphere at the hotel was really relaxing the hotel bar was friendly , Plenty of hotel parking. The hotel is located within walking distance of restaurants and a pub, we will definitely be returning here. All staff were very professional nothing was a problem. We made use of the spa whilst there which was great, only draw back was the fact that some parents didnt control their children in the pool and let them run riot, staff did try to restrict their behaviour but without parents dealing with their own children it was limited as to what they could do. Apparently drowning them wasnt an option.

Room Tip: Sea View a must

This a lovely hotel in a lovely spot. All the staff were so friendly and professional and were only too willing to help with any questions or needs. The hotel is right on the most spectacular beach. We decided to eat in the hotel one night at The Grill and it was a delicious meal - well worth it! The spa was also a great addition and the staff there were also extremely friendly. The only drawback was that the room got very warm in the night and the windows didn't open very wide. Also, there are a few different rooms to eat and drink in and it was sometimes confusing about what you could do where! But really, these are tiny little things as I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We had one at the front of the hotel overlooking the car park but it wasn't noisy.

Built in 1850 by George Hicks, a colonel in the Bengal Army, the building has an almost Mediterranean feel yet the hotel itself is unmistakably British.
