“Attentive Staff & Amazing Views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2016

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday Hotel.
The hotel is described as a lovely small luxury hotel and it certainly lived up to all our expectations. The staff were helpful, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff from the cleaners to management were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel looks over the sea with the most amazing sunsets. The hotel has an outdoor pool ( which was heated) and indoor pool and spa which unfortunately didn't have time to us. Our room (102) overlooked the pool and sea with a lovely Juliet balcony. The room itself was very pleasant well decorated and a a very comfy bed. The bathroom was well lit and a good size. Only downside was you couldn't put the shower on full blast as there was no shower curtain and the water got everywhere. Also the room had no air conditioning but keeping the balcony doors open at night the Atlantic breeze kept the room cool.
Would recommend anyone staying here to also try the Ocean Restaurant - Martinho and his staff are so attentive and the food was delicious. Breakfast was also delicious and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and we are certainly looking forward to our return trip.
One more tip we had a private transfer with Signature and also a day trip with them recommended by the hotel and had a great time. We saw so much of the island and heard all about the island from the attentive driver Alan.
The staff also at the Atlantic recommended to us the Smugglers Inn for a meal and also a fish restaurant hosted in a german bunker who served the most fantastic lobster and prawns that they cooked that day.

Room Tip: Request a room with a sea view

My husband and I spent the August Bank Holiday weekend here. The hotel is very close to the airport (but this does not pose a noise problem as its not very busy) and has lovely views out to sea. We had a golf course view room rather than a sea view room. I have to say there was more of a view of the car park than the golf course but we did not spend a lot of time in the room. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed. The bathroom was also good with nice Molton Brown toiletries. There was no air conditioning (there was a desk fan in the wardrobe) so we had to leave the window open. That mean that, from our golf course/car park view room, we could not escape the noise of the occasional car leaving in the morning. Not a major problem for us but something to bear in mind it you like air conditioning/no noise. The hotel has a spa and small outdoor and indoor pools. We didn't actually get round to using any of them but they looked nice. There is a sunny terrace overlooking the bay and we enjoyed late afternoon G&Ts there. The breakfasts were generally good, although one was not. The hot food took ages to arrive and did not taste very nice when it did. We mentioned this to the maître d who was very apologetic and we noticed on departure that the cost had been removed from our bill which was a nice touch. We would definitely be happy to stay here again.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms do not overlook the car park and so do not suffer from car noise.

This hotel is quality hotel however, it is not at all stuffy. The staff are welcoming and keen to talk to guests. They have an excellent knowledge of the island and can advise on places to visit, transport.
The restaurant is well known on the island, we ate there one evening but have to say we were not blown away by the food, it is very expensive.
The breakfasts however we excellent every day.
I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break
Disappointment was the lack of air conditioning in the room it was very warm on some days. There is a ceiling fan but this was a little noisy at night.

Room Tip: Ask for top floor sea view

This is a lovely small luxury hotel of the world. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the manager (although we did not know this at the time) and shown to our room by him. The staff are all highly professional but achieve a very relaxed, approachable manner. The dining room is exceptional and the breakfasts amazing with a good blend of a buffet style for cereal, fresh fruit etc but waiter service for a cooked breakfast, toast coffee and croissants etc.
Throughout the week we never had to wait for recliner beds at the pool and fresh towels were readily available all week. There was no reserving of beds at all! The grounds are kept immaculate with a lovely variety of different flowers.
Our only problem was the heat in the room at night as it was facing west and caught the sun in the late afternoon and evening Airconditioning would be great It was unseasonably warm even for the time of year we were there.
There is ample to do in Jersey for all ages and nowhere is very far away from the hotel Driving is sedate and incredibly polite on the island. All in all a fabulous hotel with an incredible ambience

Room Tip: Ocean view room on the second floor

Four of us visited as the 'treat' meal whilst here on holiday and it was superb. Every member of staff we met was professional, friendly, well informed and with a sense of humour (meaning it wasn't stuffy). The food was delicious, with us all savouring every mouthful. It's not a cheap place to eat but the quality of the food, drink and service make it a fantastic experience.

We have stayed at the Atlantic for 2 or 3 days several times and found it to be excellent on every occasion. It is certainly at the top end of the market price wise but in my opinion worth it.

It is small hotel overlooking a beautiful bay and in close proximity to the airport. We have always had a sea view room and the view from the very small balcony is quite stunning. It is a shame that the balcony is not slightly larger, as on a nice Summer evening this would have enabled us to sit out and admire the view.

The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean with plenty of storage space and all the usual amenities that you would expect of a top hotel. We found that whilst the shower was powerful we could not turn it onto full power as the shower is over the bath. With no shower curtain the bathroom would quickly become flooded without due care and attention. There are a few nice little extras included such as a fresh red rose in the bathroom and a half bottle of champagne on ice in the room to welcome us back as we were return guests.

The facilities are also good - including an indoor pool, outdoor pool and tennis courts. We have only once been able to use the outdoor pool due to weather conditions and it is not available in the winter months, but the indoor pool is lovely, plus available year round.

The restaurant is excellent and we particularly liked the breakfast as the main course is cooked fresh to order and not left on a buffet table going cold.

The check in and out is fast and efficient and all of the staff are very friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and at certain times of the year when it is quiet it is possible to find some really good off peak deals.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms have fabulous views

Lovely, peaceful location, an ideal place to relax in elegant surroundings. Wonderful food and service. The pool area is spacious with plenty of sunbeds. We booked a sea view room, ideal for photographing the beautiful sunsets.
Everywhere was immaculately clean, really comfortable beds and quality linen. The bathroom was large and had plenty of fluffy towels. The towel rail was fixed very close to the wall, so difficult to hang towels after use. I would have preferred a proper shower, as opposed to the over bath shower head.
Breakfast was faultless - everything freshly cooked to order.
The Atlantic Hotel clearly place great importance on employing such good staff, friendly but unobtrusive.
We will most definitely go back again!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are lovely, but more expensive.
