Stayed for a long weekend and The Atlantic and Jersey exceeded expectations, the scenery, coastlines, food all wonderful. Hotel very well kept and staff really friendly. Breakfasts were fantastic, good pool and short walk to the sea. Excellent overall.

Such a warm welcome made us enjoy this beautiful place further when experiencing their Sunday lunch today. Rich flavours well placed to create an artful but tasty treat showed what care the chef placed in delivering such a great value menu. At £30 each we tucked into 3 courses which included warm fresh bread selection. Tap water was offered (a nice change than having a bottle sneaked on the bill) but we splashed on a cold still spring water. Torn between rose when red is the flavoured choice with duck and beef the sommelier saved the day with a light red that was smooth, fruity yet refreshingly delicate. It went just as well with the salmon as well as my colourful collection of goats cheese and salad with roasted hazelnuts. It was no trouble at all to swap the squashed potatoes with roasted I prefered and just as easy to pair down the dessert to just mango sorbet and raspberries. My guy opted for the cheese board instead of dessert which still counted as a dessert choice yet was delivered with three well chosen and better still well portioned cheeses served with figs, bread and chutney. It was the smallest things that set this place a notch above it peers from timely service, everyone smiling, the couple next to us with a surprise candle lit dessert delivered with a quiet efficiency they clearly preferred, table cleaned before dessert and coffee with the perfect selection of petite fours. Would have taken more photos but couldn't help myself from tucking into the duck as the meat just dropped of the bone yet they still managed to keep the skin perfectly crisp.

My husband and me wanted to visit this place for afternoon tea about two weeks ago. On the phone we were told that we can't go inside with our two little italian greyhounds, so we thought, ok, we leave them in the car.

When we went on the terrasse an old lady - not really a lady - was sitting next to us with her feet on the table. Disgusting. The waiter came and all the sudden the alarm of our car went on so we had to go back to the car and look for the dogs.

We told the waiter that we can't stay because the dogs made the alarm go off and the waiter said, why don't you bring them inside.

We told him that we had been told over the phone that no dogs are allowed. He said outside should be fine. So we brought the doggies inside but the next person said you can't bring the dogs inside here.

I understand that you might not want to hvae dogs in a hotel but on a terrasse when you allow at the same time other people to put there feet with shoes on a table that is used to serve afternoon tea?

Very, very strange.

So we went back to the Longueville Manor which is absolutely fantastic - and where dogs are welcome.

We enjoyed a 3 night stay at this lovely, luxurious hotel. The location is fabulous, peaceful with beautiful views over the grounds onto the Atlantic. Without exception the staff were well trained, knowledgeable and charming. The food is extremely good, we enjoyed the new menu under Will Holland and we would definitely plan another visit. Thank you to all concerned.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are worth the extra
