This was our first trip to Jersey and we chose this hotel for its location and good reviews from 2013.
On arrival we were greeted by a delightful Dutch receptionist who brought us a glass of 'bubbly' by the poolside whilst our bags were taken to our room. The recently re furbished room on the first floor was well appointed and spotlessly clean. We did not pay extra for a room with a 'sea view' (these, we discovered, were at the rear of the hotel) but our front facing room also had a good view of the sea. All the staff were really friendly, helpful and committed to ensuring you had a good stay. Our waitress, Sofia, was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us. This was also true of the management team who were extremely efficient and helpful. We both thought that the food was excellent. This was particularly pleasing for my wife, who is vegetarian, as she often finds eating out to be difficult as options are limited. Thank you to all the staff at The Highlands! We will definitely return and would recommend this hotel to any one.
