“Number 1 hotel in the area”
Reviewed 10 January 2012

We usualy stay at a different hotel further along the bay, the other review on my profile will give the name, but the room prices had risen by over 30% from the previous year.
I am glad we made the change, The hotel is clean, fresh and the atmosphere is so much more enjoyable. All staff from the top to the bottom are willing to help and make your stay more enjoyable. Rooms are clean, bright and large. A sea view is a must, the sunrise and sunsets can be seen from your balcony. Food is superbly cooked and present, waiting staff are professional, polite and warming. Our party included 2 young children, ages 5 and 9, at no time were they bored or felt out of place. The staff meade a point to include them at dinner times taking their orders and making them feel more grown up. The children can also use the oplay rooms, 1 has toys and books the other has flat screen TV, DVD palyer and a playstation 3 with a selcetion of games.
Or favorite is having a walk along the beach or returning from a trip out and retiriring to one of the lounges and letting the afternoon slip by whilst enjoying a drink from the bar.
The hotel is situated right infront of a lovely sandy beach, this beach is perfect for all types, during the summer months it's patrolled by a team of RNIL life guards.
There are outside gardens, a heated swimmingpool, jacuzzi and bar to use in the warmer weather but could not be used during our stay. I could only imagine sitting with a long drink admiring the scenery. There's also a brand new leisure centre opened to the rear of the hotel. We had a guided tour of the facilities and were gobsmacked with the fitness equipment, treatments and indoor swimming pool, as a hotel resident all these can be used for free.
We visit Jersey approx 3 times a year and wiil be making enquiries into staying at this hotel in the near future

Room Tip: Any room with a sea view

This has been a near perfect experience. The kitchen and dining room staff really excelled producing marvellous festive breakfasts and a truly memorable Xmas day lunch 6 courses spread over 4 hours, piano tinkling in the background, beautiful sea views from the dining room, fantastic ambience and amiable fun guests, a mix of old and young. This hotel is warm in both temperature and spirit, the welcome genuine, the rooms are kept spotless, everything is gentile elegance. A truly relaxing stay, enabling us to see relatives at Xmas. We will certainly be back and thinking of booking Xmas again as soon as we return home.

Room Tip: Sea view with balcony

I have eaten here a few times. The food is always very nice, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotless. A 5 star experience. I have never stayed at the hotel (because my family live on Jersey and I stay with them).

Room Tip: Sorry but I didn't stay here - just ate at the restaurant. Hotel looks like a 5 star gem to me...

On first view this hotel is very impressive, set on a beautiful bay with a flat level sandy beach out the front. The tranquil garden and swimming pool at the back was a pleasant surprise. Staff were engaged, the hotel has recently been renovated and all in all it was a very enjoyable, quiet place to stay.
When I was there it felt as if I was the only guest under 60, so I'm not sure about young families, and couples, but I guess if there's a few of you you could change the mood!

Room Tip: I had room 154 which had an adjoining bunk room. Presumably if you were a family unit you could hav...
