Nice position. Bar and restaurant areas clean, with modern but rather basic furnishings.
Staff are friendly and helpful. However owners are more interested in their admin but will acknowledge you if not too busy!
Our room was at the back near the kitchen which made it noisy. Shower room was tiny, and not what you would expect for the money. TV reception hit and miss. Like the rest of the hotel - clean and tidy, but basic.
Food was disgusting - breakfast was overcooked and dry with a limited menu - variations on a grilled spead with optional kippers. Ask for a boiled egg as the chef can do these to order. What the chef cannot do is an evening meal - poor quality ingredients and even poorer preparation so we ate there only once, and almost by ourselves. Restuarants in St Brelades Bay are excellent! So stick to B&B only.
This hotel would make a good model for the care home sector, but not enough passion from the owners to make a real hotel - too interested in profit.
You would not get away with this level of mediocrity in the Cotswolds, but I suppose Jersey in August there is a lack of supply near the beaches.More
