What a lovely hotel. It is clean with up to date decor. The staff were excellent and the daily changing menu was superb. The rooms were well appointed and had a daily chambermaid service. It caters for all age groups and has a " Can Do " attitude that makes the holiday a very enjoyable experience that will make you want to go back for more. My family and I will be doing so.
Well situated with lovely views of St Brelades Beach which is reached by a short walk down from the hotel via a private path. The beach is protected by the daytime presence of RNLI Lifeguards and is very clean. There is a regular bus service that stops right outside the hotel which takes you into St Helier and that gives you access to all parts of the island. An very good way to sight see around Jersey.
Excellent value for money and a wonderful week was had by my family and we will certainly be back for more..

thanks BillCaerphilly for rating us and for identifying our
'Can Do' attitude. This is something we discuss regularly at
training sessions and I was delighted to see you had mentioned this.
So pleased you enjoyed our food and found our accommodation so comfortable.
I look forward to welcoming you back to Biarritz.
Thank you again,

We felt very welcome at this hotel, everyone was very friendly, genuine and helpful. The location is ideal, just a few minutes from the airport on a beautiful south facing bay with safe sandy beach. There was a pretty path down to the beach and we appreciated the Biarritz cafe there selling reasonably priced sandwiches, drinks and ice creams. There were some clean public toilets nearby too. The hotel was at the quieter end of the beach which we liked with plenty of rock pools for the children to explore. There were plenty of watersports further down the beach (check how long you get, as quite a few customers complained that they didn't get all the time they had paid for). There was a very handy bus stop right outside the hotel so we saved money as we could walk or catch the bus to anywhere we wanted to go. We particularly enjoyed Reg's Garden and the Wildlife Park.

Our room was a little dark with a small window but clean and spacious with loads of storage space. We were over the kitchen and it did get very warm at night, though the fan helped. I think next time we would pay extra for a room on the other side of the hotel. The food was very good. Portions were generous and there was ample choice for adults and children. The puddings were especially good and huge. As it was a very warm week, it would have been nice to have the choice of a salad on an evening or two. We would also have preferred a little more leeway on meal tiimes, particularly of a night, as when you're out for the day the buses get full at rush hour and don't always stop. Apparently the dining room is being refubished over the winter. Please leave the pelmets out next time, it's a crime to cover up any of that beautiful view!

The terrace, with it's colourful garden that gets the sun all day long, is a nice place to relax while the children enjoy the play area. They were a little disappointed not to be able to use the monkey bars due to a missing rung and they were not too impressed with the games room as it just had a broken football table and a table tennis table with no bats or ball (am sure we could have got these from reception but the weather was too nice to linger indoors).

The entertainment was good overall. The kids enjoyed painting rocks and a sandcastle competition and watched a movie on the Friday night which gave us time to pack. The balloon man was excellent fun and had all ages having a go. The morris dancers were surprisingly entertaining. Not so sure about the lady who tried to plug her book and give the bemused children an anatomy lesson with no explanation though. Just stick to the dancing in future and everyone's happy!

We had a lovely week here. A very easy laid back holiday for everyone and we would definitely return.

thanks TizP for reviewing us so favourably, I am delighted to have been part
of a successful family holiday.
Thank you far advising us of our damaged football table, we would have attended to this earlier
had we been informed at the time.
Table tennis bats & balls are always kept well stocked and issued from reception.
Sadly you are mistaken about the childrens play area but I can understand why ! When it was installed I also thought that there was a missing rung on the monkey bars but I can assure you there is not and the equipment is in tip top condition. The Monkey bars are designed in such a way so that they should be accessed and traversed one way only -its a health and safety issue which can be checked visually at the website of Jungle Jim equipment. I shall explain better when we see you next time !
thanks again,

Very sadly just returned having been so very well looked after, in such a beautiful location. I would echo all the other positive reviews listed here, I'm surprised that the airline didn't fine us for excess weight after all the fab food consumed- well done to the excellent chefs.
Nothing was too much trouble, and all staff exceptionally friendly and helpful the manager should be duly proud. I was trying to find something different to review about the hotel, so I think the OPTIONAL devotional time in the morning and free evening entertainment/activity which included during our stay a family film, lecture about the Island, musical evenings, balloon/magic man (for the young and not so young at heart), and on Sunday Songs of Praise all need a mention. The children also enjoyed beach cricket, sand castle competition, crafts and their own choice of child friendly food.
Coach trips run from the hotel each day, and cover the main tourist attractions, if you prefer to use the extremely reliable and well served island buses and plan your own trips the stop is right outside the hotel. We enjoyed the fellowship and encouragement of the very friendly guests.
We will make a return trip, so hurry up and book! or you will find it full!

The hotel is located in my opinion to be Jersey’s best bay - St Brelade. We had a beautiful room with a wee balcony looking out on the bay. Just a short dander to the shops and the hotel had a cafe onsite. All the hotel staff were so friendly and worked so hard to make our stay so enjoyable. I felt the atmosphere was very welcoming and I would say without a doubt we will make a trip back to the Biarritz.

I can't forget to mention the food - SO good -no exaggerations when I say I had the nicest meal I've ever tasted - I felt compelled to tell the manager to pass the word on to the chef - top quality food!!

After 12 years of family holidays at the Biarritz we went elsewhere in 2010 but returned again this year and found the hotel improved yet again. In particular the quality of the dinner menu deserves particular commendation this year. The standards of the rooms and facitilies improves each year and the hotel fully deserves its recently awarded three star rating. The service and attention from the staff was excellent and the management team should be proud of them.

Having been to the Biarritz for so many years it has become something of a second home, and I have read other reviews on this site with interest. True, it has some small idiosyncracies but what hotel doesn't. The dining arrangements where almost all guests eat at the same time doesn't suit everyone, but it works. And being unlicensed might be seen as an exception nowadays but it does help retain its Christian heritage. For young children it is absolutely ideal, although a bit tricky for older teenagers - but there again it's not easy to please them anyway.

If you want the anonymity of a chain hotel look elsewhere...but we find the Biarritz and our fellow guests all part of our holiday experience. If you choose to stay at this hotel you will no doubt find many of the other guests who, like ourselves, return year-on-year for good reasons

The hotel makes the most of its location on what is almost a private part of (in my opinion) the best bay on the island, and the view from many of the rooms is excellent. We always enjoy Jersey and we find the hotel well placed for many of our favourite places to visit.
