“shame about the weather”
Reviewed 27 August 2014

Weather was awful , but the hotel was great . Everything was of a very good standard. Beds wonderfully comfy .Everywhere was spotless. The staff are fantastic I have never met such helpful people . We had a view over the sea and beach on the second floor , there was some noise one night as a party was taking place but It was not too bad . The car parking is spacious .
The entertainment at night is very popular and I felt this is a hotel people come to again and again .

Room Tip: Its worth asking for a sea view

Four of us, my wife and our daughter in laws parents went to Jersey from Thursday 21st August and left late on Sunday 24th,
On Arrival we were greeted very well and handed the keys of our rooms, both of which were on the ground floor.
The rooms were very clean and of an ample size, TV/ telephone etc, we looked out onto the swimming pool which was surrounded by other apartments.
After a brief tour of St Hellier which was about a 10/15 minute walk from the hotel, we returned and decided to try the hotel restaurant for our evening meal.It was very good indeed and very much cheaper than where we live in Bath.
The bed comfortable, the breakfast were as good as you get anywhere, with an ample choice, our waiter was extremely pleasant and well mannered.
My only complaint was a coule of noisy nights made by a number of people laughing at the poolside, and because we had the windoes open this made it worse,
A great place to stay and if you go accross to watch a Rugby match it is well situated anda easy drive to the stadium.

Room Tip: Ask for one away from the swimming pool

The hotel has stunning sea views, friendly helpful staff and convenient location. However the standard of the food is lacking, the breakfast is more in keeping with a mediocre guesthouse and the one evening meal convinced us to eat out for great meals at very little difference in price.
The upholstery on the seating in the lounge is tired and torn. With a some tlc this hotel could improve considerably.

This hotel is situated in a good spot, about a mile from St Helier on the coast road heading east. Very clean and tidy with well appointed public rooms and dining room. The staff are efficient and friendly. It was our second visit to the hotel but this time we had a sea view room with a small balcony. Decent sized bedroom and bathroom with the usual tea and coffee tray. Entertainment was provided on 4 nights which seemed to go down well with the guests. There is a small swimming pool for those inclined to have a dip. The hotel has been refurbished since our last visit but some of the furniture is beginning to show signs of wear. The table d' hote menu I would rate as average. Food was ok but not outstanding. Free wifi is available in the public rooms only. One negative is the poor lighting in the hotel lounge. All in all I would recommend this hotel and would certainly stay there again.

We chose this hotel for its location and was not disappointed!

A room with a sea view is definitely worth paying for as the view across the bay is great.

Hotel is very clean and staff are all polite and attentive, it is a 3 star so don't expect luxury, however the rooms are decorated well and facilities are fine. Service is very good, beds made and clean towels every day.

Our bathroom was a little dated although clean and functional, free wi-fi but only accessible in reception and ground floor areas not in rooms.

Would stay here again if the price was the same and there is nothing that would put me off.

Room Tip: A sea view is a must, fantastic

Stayed here with a friend for 6 night's it was ok, the best thing was the sea view but was woken every morning early by pigeons nesting on the balcony.
The bedroom was ok but they could do with updating the bedding with duvet's.
The hotel was clean.
We did not eat dinner at the hotel.
The staff were not very friendly.
I would not stay there again but that is my decision.

Room Tip: Sea view room was nice and the traffic did not bother me.

A lovely hotel, just returned back from Jersey. We stayed 7 nights at the Ambassadeur. An excellent hotel with helpful and kind staff throughout. The rooms were large, very clean and spacious, perfect for any family with a fantastic quite swimming pool. The food was good throughout our stay. I would recommend to anyone.
