Clean and tidy. Friendly welcome. I would describe it more as a large bed and breakfast, rather than a hotel, as facilities are limited, no toiletries provided etc. 5 minute walk into town. Parking outside very limited, although again public parking is only a few minutes walk away.

Just got back from a 3 night stay. The hotel is perfectly placed, 10 minutes walk to town and a couple of minutes to the beach. Amanda is lovely, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room we had was a good size but the bathroom was very small, no idea about the other rooms though. The breakfast was more than adequate with a good selection. I'd definately stay there again, Amanda even offered to keep our bags for us as our flight wasn't until the evening.

Spent 2 weeks at the Alhambra during our visit from Australia in May 2012. The location was really great, close to St. Helier town centre and public transport. Amanda was an excellent host, most helpful and pleasant. The hotel was always clean, our room was large, bright and airy. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant staff most obliging. The only concern we had was poor water pressure in the shower but this wasn't a major issue as the water was nice and hot. Will stay again next visit.

Very clean, comfortable hotel. Very near to beach and bus services. About 10 minutes from town. Owner and staff very welcoming, pleasant and helpful. Downside is no lift which is a little difficult for older visitors. Decor a little dated and in need of refresh. Little details also such as no soap dish in shower and no non-slip mat. Sticky lock on inside of bedroom door and bathroom lock did not work. Just little details. Hotel has a lovel, homely feel to it. There is no longer a bar, which is a shame as would have been nice to relax with a drink before bed. Would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 16 with a 4 poster bed looked nice

Stayed at alhambra in September, lovely polished entrance, decent reception, downhill from there. The room we were given was small and needed a good clean, or new. furniture. The hotel bar was not opened once in ten days, except when the owner had a 50th birthday party, when a sign saying private party, not open to guests was put up. This karaoke party went on till early hours, couldnt sleep till it finished. Cooked breakfast was set every day, once asked for scrambled egg instead of fried, told can't be done, also asked for a voucher to be printed off in hotel, once again can't be done. Never go there again
