“Up there with the best Jersey has to offer”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

We ate here on our last night in Jersey. After Ormer and Bohemia we had not expected this to quite match up - how wrong we were. A modern country house hotel feel was accompanied by friendly yet discreet service and the food was stunning. Baffling that they have no star. Main courses especially good and substantial portion sizes we welcome too.

“Afternoon Tea for Special Occasion”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

For an anniversary treat, afternoon tea the Longueville Manor is a treat. We were treated with respect and felt like royalty. We were not rushed and the tea and atmosphere was excellent.

Definitely worth a second visit.

“Garden Menu”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Longueville Manor know about service, food and hospitality. We ate there on a Saturday lunchtime and were simply delighted with the quality of our experience. We can not fault them and they made us feel very comfortable and extremely well looked after. If you are after something special at prices that won't break the bank then look no further then their lunch menu. I was also delighted with the size of the portions and the fact that not everything is covered in salt, which seems to be happening all too often at other places right now. Certainly worthy of a Michelin Star. Can't wait to go back.

“Island best”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We ate in the restaurant 3 times during our short stay at the hotel. The food was superb, better than many 5 Star hotels on the mainland serve as fine dining and certainly better than a recent Michelin starred restaurant in SE of England we visited. The Table D'Hote was extensive (£40 for 3 courses - cheese and tea and coffees extra) with good choices and variety each evening. The A la carte was equally tempting ( £52 pp for 2 courses and £72 for 3 courses). All the menus choices were exceptionally well presented and tasty. Good sized portions and clearly excellent local produce.
The older restaurant with its dark, old carved and panelled walls is charming and intimate - particularly suitable for a special /romantic dinner. There is also the light and airy garden room though we thought this lacked character in comparison. The wine selection is first class as is the unobtrusive but attentive service.
It was an exquisite dining experience.

“One of the best”
Reviewed 3 May 2014

If you're looking for a special occasion location and experience you won't go far wrong by coming here. I was fortunate to be taken here as a birthday surprise and as there was a group of us we had the private dining room just along the corridor from the main restaurant. Which was excellent as you don't feel you are intruding on anyone else that has booked in for a quiet meal. So, if you have a group of 10 or more book this.

Right from the start the staff are welcoming, and whilst formal service throughout they manage to achieve a great balance of being professional but not stuffy. Service throughout was simply perfect and unobtrusive. The main dining room (which we will be back for) is traditional and has character.

When we went they had a seafood based lunch menu. Only way to describe it is wow. Everything was perfectly cooked, prepared and presented. The cheese selection is also something to experience. Extensive selection of cheeses and something for everybody's tastes. Also had a delicious chocolate birthday cake - one of the best chocolate cakes have had.

Great for a special occasion with friends and great if you simply like good good. Can't wait for another visit later in the year.
