“Tapestries Are Amazing”

Quite an interesting museum about all things nautical. Interactive exhibits were not only fun but educational as well. The Occupation Tapestries are just amazing. The story behind the making of them and the sheer artistry of the needlework is astounding.

We chanced upon this Museum whilst strolling round the Marina...what a wonderful place, so much to see, and a fascinating insight into Jersey life, and a celebration of an Island culture.

“Highlight of our trip”
Reviewed 9 October 2013

Great visit! Tucked away by the marinas you would never guess at the insides. We found it great fun, both educational and fun. My 22 year old son just loved the challenge of getting the boat to sail in the tank and we all loved the giant globe with the moving bits. The museum illustrated the maritime history really well.

As a needle woman I adored the tapestry. It told a fascinating story of the Jersey occupation through the stitching. The films were good too.

Would recommend this to everyone. All ages too.
