Everytime I return to the Pomme, whether for a leisure break or business, I encounter the same exceptionally high level of service throughout my stay. All of the staff are polite and professional and can't do enough to help make your stay as pleasent and comfortable as possible. Rooms are very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The food is exceptional with a wide selection on offer. The restaurant staff are some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. Thank you, Pomme d'Or for a most enjoyable weekend....

We spent three nights here last week before visiting Guernsey. It was excellent. Very central hotel with lots of history. Check in was very friendly. Our room was very spacious (no view but fine) and the breakfasts were excellent - very good choice. The breakfast/dining room overlooking the harbour was lovely. They also have a very nice bar just off of reception if you want a late drink/nightcap. As other reviewers have said, bus station is just across the road and very easy to travel all over the island. If you want an excellent, central four star hotel in St. Helier I think this would be hard to beat.

I love this hotel, stayed here twice with my wife, nothing too much trouble for the staff should you have a problem. Food in Bistro is top quality also the Restaurant on 1st floor is excellent, although a little expensive, my advice use the Bistro on ground floor as the food is the same. Facilities of the Merton Hotel (10 minutes away) could be used, such as swimming pool. Location is fab for bars and restaurants of St Helier and local buses to St Brelade and 5 Mile Bay. Locals friendly and the shops smart. Classy place in all. Pay extra for Marina view as the rooms are on the front overlook Marina/Port.

We stayed here in August. The room was good, quite spacious and a very comfortable bed. Yes, it's noisy until about 11.00 p.m. with clubs and pubs nearby, but the location is very central - not in the middle of the countryside - and right on Liberation Square, so guests must have an idea of this when they book. The Thursday night buffet - roast beef - was good, and the breakfast buffet is very good indeed. Staff are helpful, and the restaurant manager, Tony, is very professional indeed. It's a good hotel, best suited to older people who make up the majority of the guests. Location is excellent, in the centre of town, but if you have a car, there is no hotel carpark. You can park in a public carpark about 5 mins away. However, the bus station is almost opposite, and the airport buses (£1.70 each way) stop there. You can take buses (MyBus) all over the island from the bus station, so a car isn't strictly necessary for a short visit.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel face onto several clubs and bars, which are noisy in the evening.

Location was great, room was ok, food was (at best) average, service was so SLOW. Don't believe the hype about the seafood buffet on Friday's (it's rubbish) and watch for the drunk locals who sneak in and cause trouble at the weekend

My wife (who is semi invalid) and I stayed here for a week on a B & B basis early August '12 and found it to be an ideal place to stay. It is central. The staff are excellent. The choice at breakfast (self service mainly) is first class with a variety of choices to suit all tastes. Although our room didn't have an attractive view, it was clean and well maintained. Because of my wife's incapacity we were allocated a room adjacent to the lift on the 3rd floor (332) - we never heard any noise from either the lift or the other residents. The management of the hotel is to be complimented on a very effecient and well run hotel . It's not cheap, but well worth the money.

Room Tip: Room 332 was ideal for someone who is not able to climb steps

We have stayed at the Pomme d'Or in St. Helier, Jersey several times and have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms are always clean and comfortable and at the restaurant the food and service are amazing. It is centrally located near the harbor, shopping, Liberatin Square and the convenient busses that will take you to anywhere on the island. This year we traveled to Paris-hot, humid and hectic for a few days and then on to Jersey. When we reached the Pomme d'Or it was like coming home. We were greeted with smiles and friendly greetings. They met our every need. My paretns were traveling with us and we were able to upgrade their room to a front room with a view of the harbor. It was simply beautiful. Thank you to everyone at the Pomme d'Or for making thi leg of our journey so special. I would not stay anywhere else while in Jersey.

Room Tip: If there is a front room available it is worth the upgrade.
