I stayed here to visit family over Mother's Day weekend & like other reviewers was delayed due to the heaviest snowfall Jersey has seen. The staff were quick to extend my stay on the same very good rate and were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I stayed in a standard room at the back of the hotel which, although it didn't have a great view, was obviously fairly recently refurbished, clean & a good size - excellent value for money. I particularly liked the dressing table area with a mirror and a hairdryer provided (I've lost count of the number hotels I 've stayed in where it is impossible to use the mirror while drying my hair as the socket was the other side of the room!). Breakfast each day was included in the rate and was always excellent with plenty of choice. I ate in the Cafe Bar, where there was a good choice & the food was delicious. I will definitely return, and take advantage of their returning customers policy and upgrade.

We arrived at the hotel for a 3day break, and unfortunately due to the worst snow in 40 years, we were unable to get home due to the airport being closed! The hotel staff were most helpful, all the girls at reception, and the duty manager, who's name I believe, is Joseph, really went that extra mile to help us. We were able to stay on for a further four nights at a very good price. The hotel is in a very good location, and even in the snow we were able to get to the Main Street without too much bother. Breakfast was great, with a good variety of food. I would certainly recommend the hotel as one of the best we have stayed in. We used the facilities at the sister hotel Merton, where there is a good pool, steam room and sauna. Again the member of staff on duty was most helpful. Hopefully we will return in the future, when the weather is better!

I travel on business to the channel Islands & this has been my 3rd stay at the hotel in the past 12 months & although I have tried another smaller hotel in St Helier the Pomme is probably the best value for money in town.
Book on line for the best deals, repeat vistors can get a 10% discount & its possible to upgrade your room for an extra £10.00 per night, well worth it as the delux rooms are much bigger & better equiped than the standard.
The staff are always very helpful , friendly & it is one of the few hotels I actually feel comfortable eating in the restaurant alone.
St Helier isn't the niciest part of the island but it's a good base with plenty of restaurants & The Pomme is only a few minutes from the bus station so it's easy to get about without the hassle of a car.

Room Tip: try & get an upgrade to a delux room with a harbour view 435.36,37,38 are all good.

i dinned here on a Friday evening when it is the speciality fish buffet. i was a little cautious about it being a self service buffet, but i was proved wrong. the fish selection was fabulous and really fresh. i think we ate a mountain of prawns which were amongst the best ever tasted. the chef was on hand ensuring the food was plentiful and explaining dishes to the diners. it was great quality food and we would deffinatley go back.

We stayed at th Pomme d'Or from 9th March thru 13th March (delayed a day due to the SNOW). Throughout our stay the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. We spent Mother's Day in the hotel and ate in the restaurant - which is a fantastic carvery on a Sunday. We were in a large party and although my Son wanted a steak and not the carvery the staff were very accomdating. It was pleasing to note the hotel didn't put it's prices up even though it was Mother's Day. The hotel has a fantanstic location and all the common areas are very modern. The rooms are fine but are getting a little tired, but not enough to put you off staying there again. No doubt we will be back, this is our 2nd stay in a few years.

Stayed at the Pomme for four nights from 10th March 2013.

Check in was extremely slick and the girls on reception were so helpful and lovely. We were given room 336. A large room with lounge area and views overlooking Liberation Square, the marina and Liberty Wharf.

The room was very very quiet and comfortably warm, even so we switched the heating off. Even through the coldest weather and worst snow since 1979.

We had booked half board at the hotel. The food was excellent at each service we could not fault it and the staff were very attentive. Well done to Carlos & Marcos for running such a lovely restaurant so well and always ensuring we got a great table. It was also so nice to be able to chat to the chefs who came out and chatted to us at the table.

Champagne was reasonably priced for a hotel and always served deliciously cold. There was usually fish and seafood available at breakfast and evening meals.

The room had beautiful thick towels, bath robes and White Room company bathroom products. An iron and ironing board, trouser press, tea, coffee etc, flat screen TV and media centre for those wanting to use music devices. Oh and very importantly for us ladies a brilliant Hair Dryer.

The hotel is ideally situated for getting around the Island. Or enjoying St Helier. We were city bound for a couple of days due to extreme weather and were so pleased to be in such a lovely central hotel. As we were able to still shop, eat out and visit many of the local ale houses.

There is a public long stay (Esplanade) car park about a 2minute walk away from the hotel which charges on a unit basis of 73p per hour from 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday. The parking system in Jersey is very unique and takes a little working out.

Once the snow cleared, we were out and about visiting Gorey, St Brelades, St Ouens and many more places.

We would love to return to Jersey one day and would definitely stay at The Pomme. Thank you so much for making our trip very special.

Room Tip: Room 336 take this upgrade for a bit of luxury

I go to Jersey every year and stay at the Pomme d'Or because of its fantastic location, friendly staff and excellent facilities. The suite overlooking the water is fantastic... I highly reccommend this hotel for your trip to the Channel Islands!

Room Tip: Ask for a suite overlooking the water.
