Had an evening two course meal. Very good. Excellent service., we will be,back hopefully the weather will be better.

Room Tip: The rooms facing the square are lovely.

The Pomme d'Dor was exactly as we expected. No wow factor but a good hotel and clean. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. We had our evening meal twice at the hotel, which, although ok could have been better. The meal was a buffet with a roast dinner and a few specials to choose from. The roast looked better than it tasted, the meat was a bit lacking in flavor and the Yorkshire puddings could definitely be improved! However, starters and puddings were good. The breakfast buffet was also good. The location of the hotel is very convenient for everything particularly the bus station which has buses to everywhere on the island. There are frequent buses to the airport, which takes 30 minutes and cost £1.80 each way, so no need for a taxi!

I have been staying at the Pomme on both business and pleasure for over 20 years now, and have found it to be a very pleasant, conveniently situated hotel with superb staff, some of which were there when I first came to the Pomme.
That must be testimony to happy ship !! Very good value.

We would highly recommend this hotel. Came for a long Bank Holiday weekend. From airport take Number 15 bus £1.85p and is the last stop outside the hotel at Liberation Square bus terminal. The hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful, rooms very modern, clean and comfortable , the only downside was the plumbing , water pressure weak. The food was excellent , breakfast 1st class and would highly recommend the evening buffet , we arrived Saturday , did not book and we managed to get the last table. The evening buffet choice was amazing and if you like seafood the selection was excellent, very good quality. We pre booked advance saver rate via hotel web site - we should have pre booked evening meal discount option as we used the hotel reasturant for our evening meals and were not disappointed.

Room Tip: Book via hotel website for discount Book pre dinner discount vouchers - you will not be disappointe...

Nice Hotel, great position for all amenities. Room was a bit smallish and a bit dated but it was clean and tidy. We were on the side of the Hotel facing a Pub/Bar therefore there was quite a lot of noise (music etc.) until around 11.30pm. The rest of the Hotel was very nice and well presented. The Dining Room was tastefully furnished and the service was exceptional. We only had breakfast which was excellent, the best breakfast we have EVER had in this country and abroad!

Only one gripe and that was a young man on the reception who was a bit of a "jobs worth" and his manner was quite self assured. Immediately after checking in he then proceeded to try and get us to book for an evening meal which at that stage we had no idea what we wanted to do. We declined and he gave us our room entry cards which did not work and we had to return to the reception whilst he looked quite dismayed and then did something to them and away we went. The following day we could not get into the room again so my husband went back to the reception and complained yet again to the young man who then proceeded to tell him in a rather loud voice in front of other guests that he must have had the cards next to some electronic equipment, mobile phone etc. and thats why they were not working. My husband informed him that when we were given the first cards they did not work within 2 minutes of being given them, nothing to do with electronics. He reluctantly changed them again. I later went to book a trip through him and was told we would be lucky to get booked (we did!). On the evening before our very early departure I arranged a taxi to the airport through him. Later that night he was off duty and I confirmed with the new receptionist that my taxi had been booked and guess what, it wasn't. Good job I checked. Look out for Stefan.

Dear D0llie
Thank you for your feedback and, in particular, your very kind comments about the hotel in general.
With regards to individual members of staff, I would like to emphasise that all of our employees are recruited for their excellent attitude towards customer service. Naturally, people can sometimes get things wrong, but I am confident that each member of my team is entirely committed to providing a positive and memorable experience for our guests all of the time. The fact that you have identified some shortcomings, means that I may have overlooked some important training aspects in one or two areas. You may rest assured, however, that I will work extremely hard to rectify this.

Thank you once again for taking the time to review your experience and I very much hope that we will have an opportunity to welcome you back in the future.

Stayed with friends as we were visiting the concert hall, we w ere here for four nights and had a really pleasant stay, the food was very good and the staff were very friendly, only negative our room was rather small to spend four days in it but it was clean, spent a couple of pleasant evenings in the bar and would definitely return

As described, the Pomme d'Or hotel is situated right in the heart of Liberation Square, St Helier. Access from the airport is very easy by Taxi, (at around £15 each way,) or by bus, at less than £2.00 per person each way.(The central bus station is almost opposite the hotel.)

As one would expect, the check in process is seamless and the standard rooms, although well appointed are very basic. (Not the comfiest of mattresses!) Indeed, some rooms at the rear are disturbed by the noise coming from the local bars at the back.) When we return, (which we most certainly will,) we will most certainly go for one of the Premier rooms.

Breakfast is an absolute must. Not normally a fan of buffet breakfasts, the one served in the Pomme d'Or is excellent. Indeed, had there been a more extensive menu for the evening, (and not just the buffet,) we would have eaten here of a night time as well. Everything was perfect, from standard of food, to cleanliness to staff,

The only slight downside to the hotel is that the bar area is a little sterile and lacking in range of beers available. Plenty of options outside the hotel though.

Although the Pomme d'Or does not have a pool or spa, these are available a 30 minute walk away at the sister hotel. We tried this and on a hot summers day, the facilities would be very useful.

All in all an excellent stay, we will be back.

Room Tip: Go for the harbour view premier rooms. A little bit more but well worth the extra.
