“First trip to Jersey made great partly by the hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 September 2012

always intrigued to go on holiday in Jersey, and I'm glad I went there. This hotel did not disappoint either. Good service, rooms, choice of food and bar service. All staff were attentive and polite. My room was a standard room overlooking the pool, which was a bonus!

Managed to sunbath outside on the first day, the pool was cold but refreshing after being out in the warmth!

Did not try the Montana restaurant but ate/bought drinks in the hotel bar - good standard and range was available. I also thought the prices were reasonable.

All in all, a recommended, reasonably located place to stay in St. Helier.

We stayed two nights at the Savoy and found it clean, comfortable and convenient. Check-in was quick and we were offered that a porter would bring in our bags. Or room was spotlessly clean and comfortable although the colour scheme was rather dull and seemed an odd choice! Not offensive, but somehow not in keeping with the general image of the hotel. Just a personal opinion, of course, but I hoped for something a little more redolent of a 'luxury' feel.. The bathroom had a lovely, huge shower with an enclosed drying area.
It was a little cool to use the pool, but the pool area was pleasant to sit n, and was kept clean and orderly by the very attentive staff.
All the staff we met were from other areas of Europe and all were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a good buffet range with a good choice of cooked options. We didn't stay for dinner, so can't comment on evening meals.
The hotel was quiet: even when there was a jazz night in the bar, we couldn't hear a sound in our room.It was about 10 minutes' walk or less to the main shopping area, which we found very convenient.
All in all, a very pleasant stay.

We stayed for 4 nights and were very pleased with our choice of hotel which is well situated, about 10 minutes walk from the town centre and the seafront. The service was faultless. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient. The restaurant and bar were very nice with friendly staff. We had meals in both and they were very well prepared and good value. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice and the breakfast staff were also very efficient. Our room overlooked the main road so there was some noise at night, but with a town centre hotel and the windows open, it's to be expected. We had a standard room which had plenty of space and included 2 chairs, a desk and a large wardrobe. The bathroom was also a good size with a bath and shower. We would definitely stay again.

Went for Sunday lunch on 26/08/12 on the advice of a mate. He recommended it very highly and we went along with high expectations. We were both blown away by the efficiency and warm welcome of Paco (Maitre D') and his very friendly team. The Sunday lunch was up there with the best. It was our first visit and certainly won't be the last. Mrs G enjoyed a Jersey Royal and chorizo warm salad and I had the whitebait served with a garlic mayonnaise dip. We both had the Sunday roast which was superb. A very pleasant afternoon and we are both looking forward to using the Hotel again and sampling the other menus

Just been to stay at the Savoy for 3 nights, After arriving about 3 hours late becasue of a flight delay we where greeted by reception with a fabulous welcome, Went down for breakafast the following morning which to was fab everthing hot and the staff could not do enough for you. The hotel is a little out of town but that was fine for us just what we wanted it was quite, lovely pool for topping up your tan. The bar staff and the rest of the around the hotel staff can not be faulted, we arrived late so we missed the Jaz band on the Fri night but we were told that they we the best, so next time we go its a Thurs flight to make sure that we get to see them. Keep up the great work Savoy

Me and my wife stayed at the Savoy for 7 nights and got a lovely welcome. We paid for a superior room and were amazed at the size (Rm 100) it was big and had a lovely bathroom with walk in shower and jacuzzi bath (it took 1h to fill up sorry Africa).
We also received a lovely fruit basket and a letter of welcome from the boss.
First night we just got take out (my wife is pregnant and I will not argue with a hungry pregnant woman) however the menu to the restaurant looked lovely and we did partake in the week and really loved the food.
The staff were very friendly and the girls in reception went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one, when we had an issue with room with a very load pipe noise they moved us to room 34 another superior room without the mega bathroom however we had a balcony.
Although the hotel is great and in a central location we saw most of the main attractions within 3 days and soon had nothing to do so if you are between 20-32 years old you will find it very..well boring and the locals aren't very friendly. Also rent a car!!! if you can't drive get a bus do not repeat do not use the taxis. The drivers are rude and it is over priced.
Anyway back to the hotel, the breakfasts were satisfying the only let down is the pool area, its outdoors and freaking freezing.
In conclusion if you are staying in Jersey for a couple of days give the Savoy a call I do recommend it and also say hi to the one legged Seagull that lives in the front for me.

Room Tip: The walls are quite thin, we could hear all our neighbours (some were doing naughty things).

Have just been at the Savoy for 12 nights. First class hotel, we have visited many times before and it has always been good. However the new manager Tim Brook has brough the hotel into another league. Looking at some of the less favourable reports , I wonder if have been to the same place. Sure that they must think they are professional reviews. If you have a problem then see the Manager and you will get it resolved. Carry on the good work. Pat And Bill Moulton
